Sunday Shows: Democrats back away from Obama on Benghazi, Syria

Democrats on Sunday morning's news shows appeared to back away from President Barack Obama on his administration's response to the Benghazi terror attack and his blurry "red line" on Syria's chemical weapons.

On Fox News Sunday, Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) admitted that the Obama administration's talking points on Benghazi, edited to remove references to extremism and blaming protests against an anti-Islamic YouTube video for the violence, were "false. They were wrong. There were no protests outside the Benghazi compound."

On CBS News' Face the Nation, Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD), the Ranking Member of the House Intelligence Committee, also admitted that the administration's talking points were wrong, though putting the changes down to the fact that the intelligence changed over time in a "volatile situation."

Republicans remain divided on the Syria issue, but on Benghazi the caucus anticipates a week of testimony that will prove deeply damaging to the Obama administration, as well as the media's attempts to protect him.

The only question is how far will they back off. I hope and pray for justice but I have little faith in those people.

I fantasize about the ramifications. Alas, not to be.

He went to the Middle East after “the Bengazi riots” and blamed our First Amendment, and after F&F he apoligized for our Second Amendment (after exporting machine guns to drive up murder rates).

HE APOLOGIZED FOR THE US CONSTITUTION.

I wouldn’t load up too much on the butter...the media will continue to protect their messiah. CBS has gone a bit off the reservation...still some folks over there with a conscience left...don’t expect ABCNBCNNPR to do anything but play this down.

I watched the report on the whistle-blowers last night, turned to my wife, and told her this was big....really, really big...

You can bet your last 2-cents that the marxist propaganda and intimidation machine is cranked up and going full steam ahead to shore up the walls and put Spackle on the cracks, but it's too late now. Expect some diversionary declaration of war (martial law?) to drop soon, as it will be the only way they can maintain control now with all the seams popping on their false fronts and outright lies...

With Nixon (who did far less) they actually had reporters IN the WH on TV asking him point-blank, “How did a BUM like you get to be US President...?”

And that was over a failed hotel BREAK-IN.

But now we don’t have an active US media, so that doesn’t happen.

Liars in the Obama Administration - cowards leading Obama’s military - both at State... Yeah, this could get interesting.

Democrats seem smart enough to start distancing themselves from this train wreck of an administration.

I burning question is what will it take for the media to turn on Zero? I’m guessing a whole lot more than the Benghazi coverup.

The man was OK with militants slapping trucheons into their hands on election day, so OF COURSE he also did all this other stuff.

His mentor was a US hating commie, and his parents and grandparents were that also. His buddy and co-author was a DOMESTIC TERRORIST.

Sure he’s guilty, but his co-conspirators are the ENTIRE US MSM.

Today’s media stains the First Amendment so thoroughly that we’ve lost a couple of generations to leftist, multicultural, open borders, class warfare, economic and social justice peril. Throw in public education and Hollywood and it makes nearly impossible to reverse short of civil unrest.

We are Europe.

I noticed you left out MSNBC. I guess that makes sense as there is no way MSNBC is ever going to do anything than a full blown genuflect for Zero.

Backing away...wtf? If The Benzgazi hearings are to go ahead, then Obama needs to be bombing Syria by Wednesday.

Forget...unemployment, debt, suicide rate x 4, and universal loss of freedom.

Just when Obama needs you most? Have you found your conscience?

“Just reloaded on popcorn.”

I have Fritos and hot bean dip - and Corona Light Beer. Think the hearing starts on Wednesday. I’ll be watching.

I think the person who is pushing this now is Joe Biden. He wants to stick this to Hillary. Think 2016. Just my observation, though.

Could be, she is out now, and any democrat who want to run needs to knock her out before she gets in the race. She is the press candidate though, so it might be tough. Obama is old news and a lame duck already, this is going to be about 2016.

When they support Impeaching Obama Benghazi in a Fast and Furious manner, I’ll pay attention.

Otherwise, I will just use the words of a famous incompetent Old Hag, “What Difference Does It Make?”.

There is a jerk on Chris Wallace News Sunday now defending Kankles saying she tried to order security but the others denied it. Chris just made a fool out of him by playing a video of her saying she knew nothing about the request. LOL

I think they will throw Ozone under the bus to save Kankles. They owe her, and she will see that they pay, but it is my prayer she goes down as well as Ozone.

“Democrats seem smart enough to start distancing themselves from this train wreck of an administration.”

You need to add the word “some.” Whether Benghazi is the straw that breaks the camel’s back or not, FUBO is circling the bowl and the RATs in the Congress are going to start to see just how much daylight they can put between themselves and FUBO. Hopefully, enough voters will see through the subterfuge and vote them out of office. The other evidence of the fact that the RATs know what’s going to happen is the number of RAT Turds in the Senate who are retiring.

The rats are realizing they can’t ignore, hide, deodorize or explain away the Benghazi stink any longer. We KNOW what happened and they know we do.
