The Most Horrible Thing About Late Term Abortion
Myself

Posted on 05/03/2013 3:38:15 PM PDT by Cindy of Nashville

There is an aspect of the Gosnell Abortion/Murder trial that no one is mentioning. It is also why it is so important to know that our worshiped President is okay with what Gosnell did. DOESN'T OBAMA AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHO SUPPORTS LATE TERM ABORTION REALIZE THAT DEVELOPED BABIES FEEL PAIN. The horrible things he was doing to these babies was without any anesthetic. Imagine having your spine cut, your feet cut off and who knows what else, with no pain killer. We go after other countries for human rights violations, we send people to jail for cruelty to animals, liberals act like waterboarding is so awful, but even our own president is okay with torture and murder to viable babies. An abortion in the first 2 months of pregnecy is one thing, but when the baby is developed and able to feel pain and live without the mother, that is another thing. I have to force myself to not think about this Gosnell trial, otherwise it makes me sick. I hope there are others who realize the horror in all this.

Obama has to say that he has changed his mind and that late term abortion is over the line. Otherwise he and Gosnell and all their ilk that beleive it is okay to kill a developed baby should all go to jail. And may God think twice about saving their souls.

NO! The most horrible thing is not that the baby feels pain,

It is that the most helpless, innocent, and sinless (not without sin nature, but not having committed sins) of all humans is torturously murdered.

I have said this in another post.

One of the barbaric things about Late Term Abortion is the idea that you can do anything you want to human life as long as it is behind the cervical line. This allows them to expose the spinal column out far enough so it can be snipped in the upper neck with shears. This is done to insure the baby is dead before it crosses the cervical line.

As long as people position themselves with this legalism, they have as much credibility as those who believe that women are unclean during their menstrual periods and must be kept from physical contact during that period.

Miss Cindy, abortion is horrible.
The most innocent among us the “least of these” are being tortured and murdered for the joy of the left.

Killing human beings, even tiny ones, is a messy business.

To me the most horrible thing is not that the child can feel pain, but that we as a society do not.

Yep.
On one side of the cervical wall murder is ok, on the other side it is not..........
and the left celebrates, holding galas, fundraisers and the president asks an unknown god to bless this action.
My spirit weeps for these innocents.

Apparently, the abortion crowd doesn’t care about babies feeling pain when they’re being put to death. It only bothers the commie libs if MURDERERS feel pain when they are being put to death.

An abortion in the first 2 months of pregnecy is one thing, but when the baby is developed and able to feel pain and live without the mother, that is another thing.

You have fallen into a trap.

Pain is irrelevant.

A born baby faces a life of joy and a life of pain. What is most horrible is that the life of the baby means nothing to the abortionist or the abortion industry. They don't give a damn whether the baby feels pain or terror or nothing at all. If pain is the most horrible part of an abortion, the doctor can easily administer a general anesthetic to the baby and claim that the baby feels no pain.

What is horrible is that the procedure ends a life. An innocent life. A life that was given by God and taken away by people with evil intent.

Painless abortions still kill innocent children. Every abortion stops a beating heart. Those who perform such procedures clearly have no heart. Only a psychopath could become an abortionist, and the US Supreme Court has given every psychopath with a medical license, the license to commit serial murder on a scale that would make Ted Bundy look like an angel.

If Ted Bundy had adminstered general anesthesia to all his victims before strangling them, would it have made his crimes any less abominable? I think not.

I wouldn't go as far as saying "pain is irrelevant", but I get your point. However, Cindy of Nashville is right saying that many people don't realize that unborn babies 20 weeks and older do feel pain. As a matter of fact, because their nervous systems are not fully developed, they are more sensitive to pain than full term babies.

Several states have passed pain-capable unborn child protection laws. For more information check out the National Right to Life Committee website.

We know that abortion is all or nothing. If a baby has intrinsic value as a human you cannot say it is valuable at 12 weeks but not 11-1/2. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to use incrementalism to move the needle to where it should be. If you can get them to acknowledge that they do not have the right to painfully torture an unborn baby, it may enlighten them a little. Once they admit the fetus has enough worth to consider whether it feels pain, they might have to think about it. Incrementalism is not ideal, but the left has been using it quite successfully to meet their goals.

2 weeks - 20 weeks: How do you know at what point pain commences?

And why are you giving credence to this argument, as it begs a grand bargain
with the abortion murderers: OK we'll accept the potential pain of those up to
19 weeks, but that is absolutely our line in the sand.

I do believe that you oppose
abortion, and I know we are on the same team. But I think it an error to attribute aspects
greater in horror to 20-week-olds than you do to any age post-conception.

Hasn't 40 years of experience taught us otherwise? Hasn't the reelection of a man who thrice
voted to let the people die in the buckets taught us that compromise is not just a fool's
errand, but Satan's, too? The rock we need to stake our lives on is abortion murder.
Talk, witness, write, recruit, protest: we all need to do whatever it takes to make
it clear that a person is a human from the moment of conception. And of course that rules out ThePill.

I could never do it, but I used to believe it was a wiman’s choice. When the scales were on my eyes, no amount of horrific pictures, impassioned writing, or lecturing reached me. I tuned it all out. Did not want to believe that viable children were being killed. Thought it must be a ine in a million rarity. I focused on the wants and needs of the impoverished mother instead of those of the child. Only a grace-filled radical spiritual awakening snapped me out of it. Perhaps the prayers of someone like you. I agree 100% that the problem starts with the contraceptive mentality. But when you say that to people, it is like you are from a different planet. EVEN to many Catholics. How many big Catholic families do you see in church unless its a TLM? You have to reach people where they are, however you can.
