There’s no max size for luggage outside of security. I’ve seen some pretty big stuff, bigger than 24”, inside security too.
Maybe it was under a trenchcoat. Don’t know, as I’m not there.
He wouldn’t have looked out of place today either. We had a cold front blow thru this am and it’s sitting right around 50 degrees right now. At least in Austin.
Lots of possibilities here-—the old Bushmaster pistol looks “AR” but would fit in a briefcase. Just taking a wild guess but, it’s Texas, he could have been carrying a guitar case with a couple Willie Nelson stickers and almost anything inside. The 24” rule doesn’t mean much to this guy since he obviously wasn’t planning on boarding anything but a gurney. As with every other casualty news story you’ve ever heard——the first version is halfassed and never quite right, ESPECIALLY where weapons are a factor.
