What is the advantage to someone doing this? Does cable TV have broader reach than the internet in specific geographic areas? Is the video quality better? Is the idea to capture viewers who are channel flippers who would otherwise not see his show? (I’ve never seen his show but I would probably check out the internet version before I went looking for it on cable.)

Believe it or not there are still lots of people that don’t do the whole Internet TV thing though.

Yup. Cable is “free” after buying the basic channel line up. His show will be more available.

What is the advantage to someone doing this?

You are talking the Tri-State area, one of the richest markets to penetrate for a media source or an advertiser. In terms of viewers, yes a drive by watcher, conservatives with no home, College kids looking to be edgey, name you subgroup, their could be eons more. The point is Glenn is way more than doing a show aka "Ted Baxter", if he picks up a 1/4 of a mill or a 1/2 a million voters in the Tri-State area to influence, holy crap that is a huge number of people to influence...

Ya. Me included.

Tried netflix for awhile and liked it until they increased the rates and we had watched all of the new releases and old content that we were interested in.

Ironically, my internet is provided to me by my cable TV company. I imagine if I were viewing 100GB+ of content weekly, they might jack up my rates. Or if a lot of people started doing it and stopped buying their TV service.

Then there is the issue with the media companies who are or were trying to figure out how to get paid and account for the advertising.

IMHO, if you have not seen his show since he left Fox, are a non establishment, conservative/libertarian kind of person, you will love his show.

I don’t use it for entertainment at all, I use it for research to find out what he is talking about. He is beholden to nobody but himself and his employees so he defines the content, not some swarmy Saudi Prince with megabucks.

WABC 770 dumped Glenn, they put on Whorealdo, skeleton of Imus in the mornings, large NYC area is exposed to barf mostly. Except starting at noon with Rush, then Shawn and Great Mark.
This will be great transfusion to see Glenn on cable.

I haven’t seen Fox since Gary Condit was the most important person on the planet and I got tired of his 24/7 coverage. I think he showed up afterwards.

Thanks you, busy week.

This is historic . This is the first network to start on the Internet and be picked up by cable. If you want to have some perspective Oprah had to buy a network and then invest her money in it and I think she spent over 1 billion in the end. Current TV sold for 500,000,000. It is estimated Glenn has about 70.000.000 in to his network.

What this means is we now have a new cheaper blue print for conservative programmer's to use to create and deliver content to help low information voter understand our message.

That is pretty cool! I am very happy about this!!

I have been a subscriber to his network since he launched it. Don’t always watch it but would probably watch more if it was on cable. Just easier than going through my Apple TV box, etc.
