Docs Show Napolitano Thanked Missouri Governor For Breaking State Law

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon repeatedly denied knowing anything about Missouri illegally sharing its citizens private CCW information with the federal government, even after his own head of Missouri Highway Patrol contradicted him in a public hearing. Now we’ve learned that Nixon not only knew about the violation of Missouri law, but he was thanked in a letter by Janet Napolitano:

DHS- Letter to Nixon- REAL ID Compliance — ongoing MO CCW Scandal

(image of letter is available at site)

Missouri law — signed into effect by Gov. Nixon himself — prohibits full compliance with the Real ID Act. This includes sharing Missouri’s conceal carry list, which officials under Nixon did, with his full knowledge, according to this letter.

Missouri’s governor lied to his constituency when he said that no documents were being shared — Nixon even claimed that the lawsuit was dismissed, which it was not:

“First of all, the Department of Revenue has been very clear,” Nixon said. “There are no documents being sent to some federal government magic database somewhere to do something.”

Nixon then referred to a lawsuit filed by a private citizen in southeast Missouri who objected to a state license office scanning his CCW permit so it could be noted on his driver’s license. The citizen thought the office should just look at his document and make him a new license with the CCW notation.

“That’s why the Stoddard County court last week dismissed the lawsuit, dismissed it making that exact claim,” Nixon said on Wednesday.

The lawsuit in Stoddard County is not dismissed, as the governor said, but the judge in the case has ruled against the request of the citizen, Eric Griffin, for the judge to order the Department of Revenue not to scan and retain the CCW information.

Gov. Nixon is set to testify in a public hearing this Friday. Will he finally start telling the truth? Will Attorney General Chris Koster act, or will taxpayers be forced to hire a second attorney to do the job Democrat Koster is afraid to do: enforce Missouri’s laws?

Today I’ll speak with Russ Oliver, the Missouri prosecuting attorney who started it all, on my program on more developments.

Where in the letter is the CCW list mentioned?

Where?

I’ve had this discussion many many times over the last 5 years.

If it’s true, why is everything 10x’s worse now?
Timing? New pupper masters? mooslim influence?

Holder and Jarret? I want someone to tell me why it has gotten so much worse.

Maybe it’s the masks coming off as they thought the ground work had been laid.

Hardly a smoking gun.

The State of Missouri does not participate in REAL ID as I understand it.

Again as I understand it, it is breaking Missouri Law to release information of this nature.

The letter contains no evidence that it was.

I would love to see evidence that puts Jay behind bars, but this ain't it.

It’s a process. The New Deal was a bunch of unconstitutional stuff which was a big deal when they got away with it. But the Great Society was stacked on top of the New Deal abuses, and it was huge when Reagan rolled back part of the Great Society - but the New Deal went untouched. It just keeps ratcheting onward, two steps “forward” and one step back, at best. Part of that is the conceit that we are and should be “conservative.” Well, guess what! There actually aren’t any conservatives in America. Those who are called “conservative” are actually advocates of liberty, and the freedom for the people to advance. The word for us, originally, was liberal. But back in the 1920s, the socialists in America had a branding problem. They wanted to promote tyranny, what might be called “governmentism” - and the word socialism wasn’t selling in America because American Society already controlled American Government. So the socialists simply rebranded their claptrap and called it “liberalism” - inverting the meaning of the term, and leaving us without a name which actually represented our philosophy.

Anyway, in the nineties we actually had the audacity to believe that the president had to obey the law. Bill Clinton proved that he didn’t have to obey the law. The next socialist who attained power openly advertises that he refuses to

take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed
as Constitution charges him to do. And not only is not impeached, he is reelected!

Post #24 answered your question. Also, in Missouri, Conceal Carry is on your drivers license:

We already heard from Carney re: Hillary's signature on a State memo that Incompetano's signature doesn't mean she knew about the document. By extension, Nixon will argue that being addressed to him doesn't mean that he knew of it, either.

We have rogue governments everywhere, it seems. No paper trail is evidence of anything anymore to liberals.

According to the updates posted on the article:

http://www.redstate.com/dloesch/2013/05/01/breaking-docs-show-napolitano-thanked-missouri-governor-for-breaking-state-law/

UPDATE 2: A senate hearing is underway right now led by Sen. Kurt Schaefer, Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. Moments ago while under oath a SSA agent just admitted that any veteran drawing social security disability and who had a CCW would have been a target .

Also, in Missouri, Conceal Carry is on your drivers license:

Once again, you are wrong.

You can get a non-driver ID and put it on there. I know because I live in Missouri and that's what I did. They suggest it at the DMV.

That way when you give somebody your drivers license and they won't know.

The State of Missouri does not participate in REAL ID as I understand it. Again as I understand it, it is breaking Missouri Law to release information of this nature.

Again, as I have stated multiple times to you, CCW info is not mentioned in the letter, which is nothing more than a form letter sent to multiple governors.

And again, if I sent the governor a thank you letter for helping me rob a bank, would that be evidence that the governor had robbed a bank?

A governor breaking the law he himself signed then lying about it. Now that is a scandal.

The Clintoons were just as bad. We just didn’t have Free Republic back then.

Not exactly true. Lurking at FR is what got me through the Clinton years - especially the impeachment time period.

Actually, Free Republic was instrumental in Clinton's impeachment.
