U.S. Muslims more moderate than Muslims worldwide

And what is "moderate" in the context of Islam, anyway? How can "extreme" describe following the plain tenets of the religion? They are required to wage war on infidels wherever they may be and kill, convert, or enslave all of them. How do you do that moderately?

These "moderate" Moslems are not being moderate. They are biding their time or they are flirting with practical apostasy.

US moozlums accept and support their brethern murdering others. Their silence and monetary support is proof of this. Would you let a moozlum babysit your child? ...only if you hate your child.

I have in the past, in my capacity as a shop owner, had occasion to befriend Moslem neighbor shopkeepers or had them come to rap with me on lunch breaks and such. Invariably sooner or later, usually sooner, the discussion turned to my conversion to Islam. All would try to get to me by explaining that Moslems love Mary just as we do and Jesus was a great prophet &/c and when I pleasantly brushed that off it turned bit by bit to it being too bad that such a pleasant infidel would eventually have to be killed for not jumping on Allah’s train when benevolently given the opportunity.

It’s called taquayeh (I know I misspelled it),

You do not misspell it. It is a transliteration of sounds that do not occur in the English language and are written in Arabic and as such is spelled in Roman characters as the speller hears it and tries to approximate it.

"No Muslim can be trusted"

Au contraire. If you understand what they believe then certainly you can trust them- to be liars and cutthroats. Just as you can trust a rattlesnake if you know what a rattlesnake is.

Well, they say that. Read up on the concept of Taquiya.

Thank You. So essentially there is no correct way to spell any islamic term?

Excellent. I will now spell "mohammed" as "Child molesting satanist dog pig". It just seems so much more accurate. :)

Mohammed’s name has many spellings in Roman characters, partly because, while there is one Arabic script, there are many pronunciations and dialects- Mohammed, Mahmoud, Mehmet, Mahomet, Mahound, etc., and again, Arabic has many sounds that are unfamiliar to Latin based mouths. Arabic has at least three distinguishable sounds represented in English as “k.” One of them is sometimes represented as “q” and might bruise an unfamiliar throat.

19% of U.S. muslims can’t condemn suicide bombing to a pollster.

Makes you all warm and fuzzy, don’t it?

Remember, Americans can “lock and load” that is why the Muslims that are here are minding their “p’s and q’s”.

>>>I work with a lot of Muslims and many of them came here to escape all that nuttery.<<<

It could be nice, if they weren’t bring that nuttery from there.
When hell is finally breaks loose and their radical part starts to slaughter infidels en-masse, the remaining ‘moderate’ fraction is neutral at best and in most cases actively takes advantage from this situation.

Every “moderate” Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire.
For a “moderate” Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.

It is time to put an end to the charade of “moderate Islam.” There is no such thing as moderate Muslim. Muslims are either jihadists or dormant jihadists – moderate, they are not.

>>I’m a bit curious about this “news service”. Another muslim front?

It doesn't appear to be. From the "About" page at that site:

Lol. Interfaith, reform judaism, liberal, muslim, and on and on. Meaning, muslim outreach.

I think they had a token sikh. I’ll bet you dollars to donuts he’ll be gone as soon as things speed up.

>>I tried following those links and couldn’t find the poll or the 157 pages. I think it’s bunk.

This is the report linked to in Hardraade’s post, but the full pdf is 226 pages, not 157 pages, and it does not cover Muslims in the U.S.:

http://www.pewforum.org/Muslim/the-worlds-muslims-religion-politics-society-exec.aspx

I’m a bit baffled how they made their comparisons. U.S. Muslims simply aren’t among their poll targets.

Ah! I think I just found the answer:

And in the United States, a 2011 Pew Research Center survey found that nearly seven-in-ten Muslims (69%) say religion is very important to them. (For more comparisons with U.S. Muslims, see Appendix A.)
