Immigration bill grants amnesty to employers of illegals; no prosecution for bogus IDs
The Washington Times ^ | April 29, 2013 | Stephen Dinan

The debate is raging over whether the latest immigration bill is an amnesty for illegal immigrants, but one part is clear: The legislation would forgive businesses that have employed those immigrants illegally.

Employers who have allowed illegal immigrants to work off the books can come forward safely and provide their work history without fear of prosecution, and businesses that knowingly employed someone using a bogus or stolen Social Security number likewise would get a pass, according to an analysis of the bill by the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that wants a crackdown on immigration.

“The illegal workers at least have to pay a token fine. The employers of illegal immigrants who violated a whole list of laws themselves don’t even have to pay,” said Mark Krikorian, executive director of the center. “It’s the business side of the amnesty that doesn’t get a lot of focus.”

Business groups’ support is considered critical to getting a bill passed this year, but attention has been focused mostly on a guest worker program and requirements that all employers would have to meet, such as using an electronic verification system to check potential hires.

Indeed, it wasn’t until business groups, led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, struck a deal with the AFL-CIO on a guest worker program that the final Senate bill came together....

This amnesty bill is sounding more and more like a communist’s wet dream.

This whole scam is nothing but an attempt to put the final nail into the coffin of traditional American society. To borrow a phrase from someone else.....None dare call it treason.

The illegal workers at least have to pay a token fine

Which they can subsidize with welfare because the bill gives them immediate access to public assistance. If there's no penalty then there's incentive for id fraud and collection of welfare on top of work wages. We're seeing just how stupid government can get!

This or nothing.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.

I know a Hispanic man who is here on a green card. He told his employer he was illegal as they only hire illegals. They paid 12/hr, but did not follow any of the other laws. They work everybody 60 hrs/week but with no time and a half overtime.

This is the reason illegals are employed. If they make them legal, then the employees will report the employer. Mostly, I think these marginal businesses will go under. The unemployment problem will quintuple. Also, they aren’t paying any unemployment tax on these guys.

The unintended consequences are going to be a bee-itch.

What about having the employers pay back payroll taxes and workers comp payroll fees? The main reason these people are off the books is so employers can commit tax fraud and insurance fraud.

So employers who are committing felonies by keeping illegal aliens off the books will be granted amnesty instead of going to jail for 5 to life? And those honest employers who did everything correct will continue to be harassed by the IRS.

I am getting pretty FED up with these politicians and bureaucrats.

I don’t disagree with this. As an employer needing bilingual employees, I know it is very easy to get false ID’s and SS#. Not even the IRS catches them, why should employers be fined for not resolving what no Federal Agencies will or can?

(gag) I'm sure the mourners w/ dead loved ones and the people maimed and disfigured by the Boston bvombers will be glad to hear the Tsarnaevs' get a pass for establishing multiple identities---to ride the US gravy train.

REFERENCE The America-hating Tsarnaev family collected bigtime----rode the US gravy train using several identites. The Boston bomber brothers' lavish style could not have been financed merely w/ welfare checks, food stamps, housing subsidies, etc etc etc.

A look at dead bomber Tamerlan's reading list on Amazon shows he researched several books WRT forging new identities (each identity pocketing US govt freebies).

TAMERLAN'S READING LIST--PUT THIS IN YOUR BROWSER
http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html? ie=UTF8&type=wishlist&id=1PNVMAW2D4CT1

=============================================

Faked/forged identities is a common practice among "impoverished" latinos on US soil....."the just here for a better life types". The "impoverished" invaders pay $$$ thousands for fake identities. The latino Washington state rapist had some 30 identities. Another latino scammed UI for $3/4 million using fake identities.

======================================

NJ BERGEN RECORD CIRCA 2004---Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity (many latinos establish multiple identities in order to ride the US gravy train).

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses----for any state in the US------ passports and resident alien cards, said NJ state police.

The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. After a search, police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs.

All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street when sold to "impoverished illegals." Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 phony Social Security cards. ####

No wonder they wanted to pass it in a hurry before anyone (even themselves) had a chance to read it.

AS FRREPER RARESTIA INSIGHTFULLY POSTED We need to have a law mandating an affidavit be attached to each and every law between Congress, the Senate, and up to the President’s desk that states that the law was drafted by a law maker and ONLY by a law maker, was read completely and understood by the law maker submitting the bill, is Constitutional by provisions outlined therein, and applies to every American, including the law makers themselves.

This BS with outside entities and legal groups drafting laws, handing them to Representatives and Senators to bring up on the floor without knowing whats in them is complete tyranny. We did not elect these shadow law groups, we elected our Representatives and Senators. This is complete and total failure of the American system of Republicanism.

============================================= COMMENTS Clearly vote-crazed pols are prostrate in obeisance, taking orders from foreign agents cunningly attempting to undermine US ntl security on the pretext of "immigration reform." These foreign control agents present a clear and present danger to Americans....and must be stopped.

======================================

Immigration reform is the gateway to terrorism. "Ethnic solidarity" is rearing its ugly head (think Boston bombers w/ a latino accent). US politicans are clearly colluding and conspiring with foreign agents to undermine US ntl security and placing Americans in danger. The word is out: " It's open season to conduct dirty deeds....and US politicans are helping us. So, all you "undocumented" terrorists, come on down---invade the US, and bring bombs "

“…not even the IRS catches them.” Are you serious, IRS turns a blind eye. I had a friend,named Jackie, who has an Hispanic last name. Every year for 11 years the IRS sent her W-2 forms for Jack ———ez, who worked at a furniture factory in CA. Every year, she reported the IRS, that she didn’t live in CA and did not work at a furniture factory. Finally after having to report this for 11 years in a row, her husband called the employer and told him to stop paying the taxes under his wife’s name or he would report the guy to INS (ICE, now).

Why not make employment of illegals a capital crime ~ only need that for a few weeks BTW ~ then change the law back, but start rounding up these guys who had an illegal on or off the books during the critical period and start hanging them.

That'd fix the problem plus raise the average IQ of the business community substantially.

I dont know why this is even being addressed when our economy is in shambles. How easily the Dems play with our heads and distract us. We should be screaming for Obama to focus and fix the economy. Immigrants are leaving on their own!!!!!! Instead Obama gets to say, “look how mean they are”. If we demanded that he focus on the economy, everyone would understand.

What difference does it make, really? Republicans are pushing this amnesty, even writing it. Even LIMBAUGH said this morning that this gang of 8/Rubio thing is NOT AMNESTY...HE is part of the problem, not part of the solution!

elrushbo@eibnet.com

Ask him what is conservative about joining this scam to promote AMNESTY??? Or having radical Islam promoter Grover Norquist as Rubio’s spokesman?

WHO is Americans for a Conservative Direction?

Plenty of RINOs to put it over the edge. Holding off disasters like this with hopes of a GOP edge somewhere is so over.
