Come And Get It: USDA Pushes Food Stamps To Illegals
Investor's Business Daily ^ | April 30, 2013 | IBD EDITORIALS

Welfare: Not content with having more Americans on food stamps than people in Spain, the Obama administration is ringing the dinner bell for illegal aliens. We'll feed you and not check your status.

As we wrote last July, just as food stamp use has skyrocketed here under President Obama, so have marketing efforts to Hispanics under a partnership with Mexico.

We dubbed the program "Fat and Furious" after the administration's gun-running program that also seemingly had worthy goals but had unclear motives and pernicious effects.

"USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance," the USDA explained in a paragraph on its "Reaching Low-Income Hispanics With Nutrition Assistance" Web page. "Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices."

Now the watchdog group Judicial Watch has obtained Spanish-language fliers through a Freedom of Information Act request.

It announced Thursday that the "promotion of the food stamp program, now known as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), includes a Spanish-language flier provided to the Mexican Embassy by the USDA."

The interesting thing about this flier is a statement advising Mexicans in the U.S. that they don't need to declare their immigration status in order to get aid. Emphasized in bold and underlined, it reads, "You need not divulge information regarding your immigration status in seeking this benefit for your children."

This is a huge carrot to incentivize illegal immigration at the same time the Obama administration is pushing what is called "comprehensive immigration reform" designed to assimilate those illegal aliens already here.

An administration unwilling to secure our borders is ringing the dinner bell for anyone able to sneak past the U.S. Border Patrol.

A-n-o-t-h-e-r giveaway w/ taxpayers footing the bills? How soon they forget the sub-prime debacle which cost taxpayers zillions. The debacle was facilitated by the hispanic caucus in Congress---Mexican ads heralded "free homes in the US." Read the slimy details below.

==============================================

SUB-PRIME MORTGAGE SCAMS--MASSIVE MORTGAGE FRAUD ON CAPITOL HILL:

The Congressional Hispanic Institute, Inc, is an entity organized by Cong Joe Baca (D-Cali) in his capacity as head of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Cong Baca created "HOGAR" (Spanish for home) in 2003 to work with the mortgage industry, F/M, lenders, banks and latino community groups to increase mortgage lending to what savvy observers consider to be unqualified Latinos.

"HOGAR" colluded w/ Cong Baca in what was to become a massive bilking of taxpayers. Cong Baca calculatedly hyped the fact that the national Latino homeownership rate was 47%, compared with 68% for the overall population.

HOGAR was coached to call the figure "alarming," and to say "a concerted effort was required to ensure that by the end of the decade Latinos will share equally in the American Dream of home ownership."

HOGAR and Cong Baca conned the public, failing to note that most of the "dreamers" were illegals, citizens of Third World countries who had violated US borders.

Predictably, HOGAR colluded w/ co-conspirators which included:

(a) shaky mortgage companies that ran into big trouble;

(b) Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, both now under federal control after billions in taxpayer bailouts;

(c) Countrywide Financial Corp., sold to Bank of America Corp;

(d) Washington Mutual Inc., taken over by the US government and sold to J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.; and,

(e) New Century Financial Corp. and Ameriquest Mortgage Corp, both now defunct, killed by defaulted subprime Latino mortgages.

HOGAR's ties to the subprime mortgage industry were substantial. Bribery and self-dealing were rampant:

<><> Companies that donated $150,000 to Cong Baca got the right to have their own research fellow who would conduct fraudulent studies, which were cunningly used by industry lobbyists to pump lending.

<><> Bribery and extortion in the form of $100,000 annual donations to Cong Baca, for which HOGAR provided phony news releases from Cong Baca's Hispanic Caucus promoting a lender's commercial products to the Latino market,

<><> The most shocking example of bribery well-substantitated by Hogar's literature..... HOGAR announced it worked with Freddie Mac on a self-serving two-year examination of Latino homeownership in 63 congressional districts.

The "study" found Hispanic ownership on the rise thanks to "new flexible mortgage loan products" that the industry was adopting at the urging of Cong Baca's collusive coterie.

<><> HOGAR conned lenders into even more lenient down-payment and underwriting standards.

<><> As the subprime debacle unfolded, HOGAR declined repeated requests for comment despite the economic havoc their activities precipitated.

The mortgage schemes demonstrated the criminal activities of border violators with multiple identities---perhaps violent, terrorist-connected foreigners---colluding and conspiring to defraud private companies and public entities. And mortgage racketeering enterprises which employed sub rosa finance and business practices to carry out deceptions and frauds.

The alleged ring of swindlers---a Congresman, individuals with multiple identities, banks, insurance companies, mortgage brokers--might be charged with cheating the US govt, taxpayers and bank share holders out of hundreds of millions of dollars via an elaborate web of mortgage and bank frauds.

The mortgage Dreamers used multiple phony identities, fraudulent Social Security numbers, purchased from identity forgers in order to obtain govt-subsidized benefits.

L/E will find that individuals with multiple identities obtained fraudulent mortgages then flipped the houses at ever-higher prices to family member who then absconded to foreign countries, sticking banks (and taxpayers) with hundreds of millions in fraudulent mortgages.

BACKGROUND A Wall Street Journal investigative report related that, according to the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council examination of the borrowing spree, uncovered financial schemes by low-income housing groups, Hispanic lawmakers, a congressional Hispanic housing initiative, mortgage lenders and brokers, all colluding in fraduent schemes to increase homeownership among Latinos with forged documents which enabled massive fraud.

This was not simply the mortgage market at work. It was fueled by avarice, greed, and Congressional enabling fraudulent practices. In 2005 alone, mortgages to Hispanics jumped by 29%; Latinos with multiple fraudulent identities in low-paying jobs obtained subprime mortgages for prime properties---soaring to 169%.

(Research provided by Wall Street Journal. Some material excerpted from the NY Times).

Boy, OH, Boy! Do we need Marco Rubio's Immigration Reform Bill to put an end to this nonsense and have these illegal aliens start working and paying taxes.

And as I have learned many, many times on FR here it is for those who are "sarcastically-challenged" < /sarcasm >, /s, Yes, Virginia that was sarcasm! sarcasm much? Gee that sounded like sarcasm!

Let me see, they are “inviting” people to use a US Program. To do so, they have to violate the US Immigration Laws. So, it seems we have a scheme (conspiracy) to defraud the US. Any USDA person who did anything in furtherance of this plan is indictable for conspiracy to defraud the US and as such should be on their way to jail.

There are so many conspirators in the fraud going on in DC that we would have to have an old fashioned French Revolution and fire up an effective and fast method of execution like the guillotine. Using the court systems to indict the amount of fraud in DC is tantamount to cramming 50 gallons of shit into a 5 gallon bucket.

Building on my conspiracy to defraud the US by members of this administration, let’s not forget all these food stamp payments that go out to illegal beneficiaries go over the wires which mean each claim is a violation of the wire fraud statutes which are predicate offenses for a RICO charge too. Of course the government will never bring such a charge against the administration or the dummorat party BUT any individual can file a qui tam civil suit. Bankrupt the bastards, including the book writer at the top. Hello GOP, are you listening??????

Please don't denigrate crap by comparing it to politicians in DC!

I said it once before, Diogenes would need a super tanker of oil to fuel his oil lamp as he searched in the dark in DC looking for an honest man. Between DC and its AMTRAK connected tentacle to NYC with the banksters, this place formerly known as the USA is finished, right now they are just picking over the bones.

And don´t think that the new immigration bill is not a ticket to paradise....what is being touted at 12 million will be more like 60 million as they flood the borders for the freebies we give...if we really are that stupid....then we get what we deserve....but I would never live in a big city anymore....as these new immigrants will destroy them...

....as these new immigrants will destroy them...

I agree up to a point on this one. If we continue this open borders approach without regard to some level of screening such as by education, employment skills, or assets and seek the dregs of the world, we are beyond suicidal as a nation. We already have in place many hard ship exemptions, in fact too many. Simply having a complete amnesty program and waive a wand and say everyone is a benefit to society is plainly ignorant. We don’t need an influx of current day Vandals driving 1966 chevys to get here. I may be seen as greedy, but I don’t want my future watered down to appease some worldwide view I owe everyone an existance, I DON’T.

If everyone living in this country had to pay a “fair share” of the tax bill, the commie ‘RATS wouldn’t be able to get away with this kind of crap. To that 52% who don’t have to pay any taxes, this means nothing.

I am glad this is out there so everyone can finally see how bad our welfare system is but GWB started this Mexican outreach crap. And they are not advertising food stamps to the illegals themselves but to their American born children. It has always been that way, and yes I worked in food stamps once upon a time so I know it is true.
Essentially what they are saying is...come on in and sign your American children up and feel safe. No one will check your status.
Now we can argue the merits of birthright citizenship, etc. but as the law stands their American born children are eligible for any and all benefits. Whether the country needs to advertise this to the illegals is another question but believe me they already know it.

Unless you point out to the American moochers that the illegals are cutting into their grift. The political elite used the evil 1%'s (capitalists) to get the poor out to vote.......time for conservatives to use the illegals in the same fashion. (Si Robertson voice) Hey, this is war, Jack!
