The FBI has begun examining the relationship between Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen and the chief executive of a nutritional supplements manufacturer that is the subject of a federal investigation, two people with knowledge of the review said Monday.
Federal authorities began questioning people close to the McDonnells as an outgrowth of a securities probe of Virginia-based Star Scientific Inc., said the two people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because their roles in the case preclude them from speaking publicly.

Oh, good, they have the FBI on the case. Well, it must be serious, because nobody knows corruption like Barky’s administration.
This is over a $15k catering bill for McDonnell’s daughter’s wedding. Also a couple trips to the donor’s lake home. He got dimed out by a chef who was fired for embezzling. As far as political corruption goes this is pretty timid stuff, but then we are talking about a potential Republican Presidential candidate so Team Barky (that includes the media) will have their fun.
