Native Americans incensed over pro-gun rights billboard in Colorado (Great Billboard tho)

Two billboards in which images of Native Americans are used to make a gun rights argument are causing a stir with some Colorado residents who say the image is offensive and insensitive.

The billboards in this northern Colorado city show three men dressed in traditional Native American attire and the words "Turn in your arms. The government will take care of you."

Matt Wells, an account executive with Lamar Advertising in Denver, said Monday that a group of local residents purchased the space.

"They have asked to remain anonymous," he said.

He also refused to disclose the cost but said the billboards are only appearing in the Greeley area. Wells said he has not received any complaints so far.

"I think it's a little bit extreme, of course, but I think people are really worried about their gun rights and what liberties are going to be taken away," Wells told the Greeley Tribune.

Great billboard.

Interesting FACT: Native Americans vote more reliably Democrat than Blacks! Most Native American communities vote Democrat in the mid to upper 90 percentile.

Libtard; "You see what America did to the American Indian, Stole their property and imprisoned them on reservations."

Conservative; "Yeah, And the Government did that by confiscating their guns!"

Scroreboard!

Joe Biden has some blankets for all of you Indians clinging to your guns...

"Tonto. The Obama gun turn in is over there."

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.... I'm not joking." --Joe Biden

Just another phony reason to be “outraged” and affirm victimhood.

Free stuff. Not that it buys votes of course. The human condition I guess. Even though for serious things, it’s all empty promises. I don’t get it. (well, I do but they don’t)

The absolute, primary driving motivation for a liberal to do, support and believe what he does is to feel good about himself as “a good person”.

Am I right, “reformedliberal”?

Bogus story. How did they find these native Americans? Who do they speak for? Are there any native Americans who share the sentiment expressed in the billboard? If so, why weren’t they quoted as well?

Obviously, this story is contrived, probably at the behest of the Colorado and/or national Democrats, to make supporters of the Second Amendment seem racist.

You are, Mr. B.

Over 13 years ago I was griping to someone about having to wash out cans and bottles and remove the labels before discarding in the appropriate receptacle and she actually said: “It makes me feel better about myself.”

“It makes me feel better about myself.”

A relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior "works" better...
Just sayin'... :)

The actual Seminoles get paid for it, and they have very good lawyers who periodically have to squish some lib at the NCAA who tries to “stand up” for them.

BTW, every Native American I know is very pro 2nd. This includes ones on the res and off.

Do you need permission from every Native American or is permission from just one person ok?

That leads me to the question: do Native Americans have their own Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to speak for them?

“Where were you born?”

(Sadly) I am born and raised in Montgomery Co, Md. No Native reservations in our state. The closest I know of a Native is a family relative who is 50% Cherokee but born and raised in the suburbs and owned a business. What our area knows of Natives is learned (and wrongly so) from television or if they find a book about an individual tribe. It is just something not in our area... now, if you want to talk about MS 13... I got tons of info for you.

The “native Americans” don’t get it. They’re now an officially certified victim group and they just feel that they have a right to be offended at anything the “White” people do.

"That being said, I am wondering why Native Americans have issue with this billboard?"

Because the press always finds a Leftist "Indian" to tell them what they want to hear. Elizabeth Warren, for example.
