Open carry is educational.

Depending on the neighborhood, I might use a WWI trench gun.

This is the second time I’ve seen this posted in the last week and for the life of me I cannot discern what all of the attention being paid to this young man is about. He’s carrying weapons for self-defense. (Insert local story of wild animals attacking people or criminal hordes here.) Thomas Jefferson recommended familiarity with weapons and advised taking them along on daily walks. What seems to be the problem?

CNN making fun of this man. They use black people to make their point.

You can spear a lot of trash on one of those 17” bayonets.

When our Legion Post does a community service “Adopt a Highway” pick up detail I use an old Knights of Columbus sword to skewer beer cans and such, then dump the stuff into a lawn mower bag strapped around my shoulder.

“Touche’!”

I get a few odd looks from passing motorists, but it’s fun.

The Mosin Nagant M-91-30 has a bayonet that is ideal for trash pick up.

When I went to that CNN site all I got was a video about an APP for remote sex. No thanks!

The female neighbor is your typical liberal. GUNS BAD! is her kneejerk cry.

Can anybody tell what kind of rifle the young man is carrying?

Number 4 Lee Enfield. Stock cut down up front. Note the detachable steel mags, and the two piece wooden stock. (buttstock separated from the lower stock by the metal of the receiver, Very distinctive.)

Some of these were converted to .308, and lots are in .303 British.

The only ones I have seen in .308 were from the Ishapore arsenal in India, and they were made for that cartridge.

Maybe some were converted to .308, but probably not many, as you would have to put on a new barrel. It would need to be rechambered and the bore is oversized for the .308.

All those that I saw from the Ishapore Arsenal were variations of the Mark III. I believe they were designated the Mark 2A or 2A1. I would have loved to find a Mark IV model in .308.

Got it, thanks.

He’s not even bayonetting the garbage. If you’re going to carry a rifle, might as well use it for something.

That’s a No.4 Enfield .303; either a “sporterized” version with the fore stock sawed off ahead of the band or possibly a Canadian competition / target rifle built from surplus #4s after the war. Looks to be in pretty good shape and probably a decent shooter.

The nervous woman exhibits a typical leftist “Only the government can protect us” attitude. Obviously a product of the government public indoctrination (”education”) system well brainwashed by the enemedia.

My WWII rifle is a Garand M-1. Wouldn’t trade it for love nor money. Gen. Patton was right about it.
