While the left is frequently up in arms about the about the Koch brother’s money funding political and campaign projects, there is no shortage of big leftist corporate and foundation money floating around hot political issues.

Both the Joyce Foundation and Google are established players in the anti-second amendment movement as well as other progressive political causes.

The Joyce Foundation has injected large chucks of money into the anti-gun movement, including Mayor’s Against Gun Control and the Violence Prevention Center. (Aside: Who was on the Board of the Joyce Foundation? None other than President Barack Obama who keeps assuring us that he doesn’t want to take our guns away. Obama sat on the board of the Joyce Foundation from 1994-2002.)

Soros is now worth 20 billion, and Google hit 820.00 a share. Our enemies are well capitalized.

“Anti-Bill-of-Rights” = Gun Control.

Let’s synchronize our control of the language.

Just quick question - the choices for smartphones are basically Microsoft, Google (Android), Blackberry and Apple... Which of these DON’T support left-wing causes?

If I recall correctly, Joyce Foundation (with Obama on the board) put up money to help establish the Chicago Carbon Exchange, which was to have been the great benefiary of carbon credit legislation.

Another aside, I recall that Google was deeply involved in the overthrow of the Mubarak government in Egypt and the subsequent installing of Muslim Brotherhood in power there.

MS (Gates/Ballmer were big gay marriage supporters in Wash State.
Apple is run by a gay guy - Cook.
Google principals (Brin/Page/Schmidt) are all statists.

Not sure about Blackberry - of course they’re Canadian.

I think there’s an Ubuntu mobile OS available now. Someone will be selling phones with it pre-installed soon, if it’s not already available.

The smart phone makers are in bed with the left...and the nosy government. If you carry of cell phone of any sort, you are carrying a tracking device. If you don't want to be tracked, don't carry a cell phone.

Get a Samsung and go with Tracfone. My wife and I rarely use our phones so we went from around $120/month to AT&T to $198/year prepaid Tracfone. The money goes to Carlos Slim but he’s not left wing and does nothing in the US.

My wife and I have used TracFone for some 13 years. We have never understood why anyone wants to pay huge amounts of money every month under a contract with cell phone companies when TracFone, which has no contract with you, charges you only when you wish to buy some minutes, is available.

But then again, we are not the type to continually yap on the phone with friends, telling them we just had lunch at Hardees and other inane uses of a cell phone.
