A few years ago our company had a layoff. One of the employees let go was absolutely horrid at her job. Rude, obnoxious, would hang up on customers, even all her co-workers pretty much despised her.
Oh, and she was a "person of color".
She filed for wrongful termination and bragged about the $25K the company quickly gave her to not file suit.
"Cant fire because of..." means "Can't fire without paying out!"

Apparently Tori Hunter was OK when he said he didn’t want gays in the locker room because it was the off season and people had time to forget.
“Middling”? This guy is one of those roster fillers who has averaged less than 2 points and 2 rebounds per game over the past 8 seasons. He gets hired to take a minimum salary and play a few minutes per game to give the stars a breather, while freeing up salary cap space. He’s a free agent and had little hope of landing another job next season. But now he’s made himself poster boy of the progressives and a number of teams will be scrambling to have him sit on their bench as souvenir, proving that the whole “gay” rights movement is more about gaining special privileges for the mediocre than about equality. This ain’t exactly a Jackie Robinson moment for the NBA.

Actually this is a great way to destroy football. At halftime of the Super Bowl have a massive wedding for gay athletes.
