If we ever get a non-socialist into the Oval Office, I hope there is going to be one heck of a “government surplus” sale!

I’ve been beating that drum for months.

The term “infringed” was carefully chosen.

I’m shocked that no one has chosen to apply its use in reference to intentionally making ammunition scarce in conjunction with the use of psyops.

You are correct in your assessment...”side benefit”

The thing is no one said the government was stupid, I wish I could “practice” with duty ammunition...I would be wasteful, but then again, I never said the government was smart either...

when the US government is clearly governing against the people by acting in full-out lawlessness and clearly using tax money to constrain liberty and circumvent the American people thus causing harm to the people (making war on the people), is it still a legal body according to the Constitution? The whole intent of the Constitution was for the people to exercise the right to restrain government power and to take physical action against such a government. Thus, by Constitutional Law, it legalizes the American citizen to take up arms against those in government under these very circumstances being perpetrated by this administration.

Right on -- the only issue is a little nit to pick: 'legalizes', and that only because there is a real distinction between legal and lawful ~ Our government is legal (having the form/appearance) but not lawful (having the substance) ~ just as our right to take up arms is lawful, according to the highest law of our nation, despite what lesser statutes say (this because if they are contrary to the higher law then they cannot be law themselves).

“If I had a gun store, I think I’d do the same -what would it be worth to have that kind of stock, if for no other reason than to get people in the door for potential impulse buys.”

Fat chance. Wholesale supplies are dried up.

I was thinking along the same lines, just a slightly different line. I was thinking that some people might find out where they store them and steal them! Why? Some things have been stolen from labs and other facilities, haven’t they? Not that I could do that myself, of course, I don’t even know where in the world they store them. However, someone will find out one day, and is bound to try it!

DHS is planning on shooting people. First. Or they’re selling to Mexican Drug Cartels... ‘tracking’ with ZERO tracking devices. It’s not as simple as just taking up all the excess ammo - companies can ramp up production in a few months...

"Nothing new here. Taxpayer money is being misappropriated. No big deal. /sarc."

At least the inventory is worth something, unlike the Fed buying up $80 billion / mth of toxic mortgage assets... ;-)

"I don’t believe for a minute that the reason for these massive purchases is so benign. I believe that they are expecting civil unrest, perhaps to be fomented by themselves, and are planning to use the ammunition to go to war with the American people."

Try this little behavioral experiment -

- Pick any person and tell them to hold up their right hand like they are being sworn in to testify in court.
- Hold your hand against theirs and start to press forward, increasing slowly.
- Observe what they do...

Almost everyone will start pressing back to keep their hand in place. When you ask them what they are doing, most won't realize they are increasing their pressure to match yours - keeping their hand close to where you started the experiment.

It's natural and an almost unconscious reaction to push back in direct proportion to anything that's pushing against them. This natural human behavior is well known to the statists and an obvious conclusion would be to assume they are trying to provoke a reaction to a continuously growing and overwhelming assault on liberties across a very broad spectrum (income, health, security, speech, association, etc.).

Yes, and also I will not be surprised to see a Reichstag fire here in the US that will give them the excuse they feel they need to clamp down on US citizens defending their rights. Sometimes hand pressure just isn’t enough.

I remember when my Grandfather was walking the streets of our town during a festival openly carrying his 38 (back in the 70s) and some new cop tried to take it away from him and arrest him. Luckily the Chief of Police was near by and rescued the poor Rookie who suddenly found himself the target of one irate senior citizen who had no love for any Gub'ment official trying to take his weapons.

The Chief told the Rookie that Grandpa had done nothing wrong and that he (the Rookie Cop) tried to violate his 2nd Amendment Rights. The Chief made him apologize. The rookie didn't last a year on the force.

People still openly carry around here. No one makes a fuss.

Do you folks actually believe the military would willingly obey orders to fire on the civilian population?
There would be mass defections if that order is issued.
