Posted on 04/29/2013 9:11:55 AM PDT by Perseverando
Yesterday, my colleague, Marty Biancuzzo, explained why America is on a path to inevitable economic and government collapse.
After reading Martys piece, another colleague asked me: What will America look like after a government collapse?
Its an important question, and I want to give a satisfactory answer. But I cant do that in one short column, so I plan to return to this topic several times over the next few weeks. I hope that when Im done, you will have a better understanding of where the country is headed.
Now, consider our current situation
Its clear that Barack Obama and Congress have no plan to get the dead-in-the-water economy moving. In fact, they appear to be completely incompetent.
Too many Americans are jobless, an excessive number of Americans are dependent on government handouts to eat, and the countless Americans who could contribute to the economic recovery are frozen in place, unwilling to take risks due to an uncertain regulatory environment.
Now, its fashionable in some governmental circles to argue that another Great Depression could never happen. Politicians reason that America at present has far more tools to prevent such a cataclysm.
They believe that things are different this time. If only they knew how right they were.
It Is Different This Time Its Worse
Ive heard investment advisors, central bankers, and politicians use the phrase Its different this time so often, I want to wretch. This asinine statement is arrogant beyond reason.
Frankly, I believe were much more vulnerable to a prolonged depression than we were in 1929.
Heres the truth: Todays monetary manipulation may forestall a bust, but it cant change the fact that one is inevitable. And when it arrives, itll be more devastating and difficult to solve than in the past.

1 - They will confiscate all the personal wealth they can get their hands on.
2 - They will finish turning the country into a totalitarian police state - in the interest of safety of course.
Mexicans will take over my Phoenix neighborhood and break into my house and murder me.
Interesting post. Thanks.

The freeways will be kind of crowded with all of the foreign and UN troops zipping around trying to get their hands on our WMD.
Now that those people who founded, developed and managed our country until 2008 have abdicated their right to govern we are undergoing an invasion and conquest by Third World denizens. It will be interesting to see if blacks and Mexicans actually come to blows in order to determine who shall take the remaining wealth of the Euro American.
And other countries are in a better position than they were after WW1 and WW2.
Which means they will wave as they pass us by.
Oh, and you don't have to worry about trying to make head shots......
Riots, Death, Destruction by simple minded Americans, marshal law, politicians hanging on a rope, a dictator and has control of the military, etc. Need more shi! or are we too dense not to understand this depression will make the 30’s look like a cake walk. Impeach King Obama and get the Senate in 2014 start the turnaround. Might work.
Every major city will make Detroit look prosperous.
What will happen when the government collapses?
As it has in all ages:
“the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.” - The Declaration of Independence
Bullets will fly. Food, fuel, and electricity will be nonexistent for 6 months.
