FN: I abstracted some info you linked in your post. Originally I was looking for the link between Collins and Imam Suhaib Webb.
Finding none (except the fact that ISBCC’s Islamic institute is named after her), I started digging for some biographical info on Suhaib Webb.
BTW: One possible link could be Collin’s son-—Rodnell Collins [Yusuf A. Hamid]. He wrote the biographical page on Ella Collins at the Institute’s website and added his name (both of them) at the bottom of the article.
I could find no other info about him.

Ella Collins died Aug, 1996 at the age of 82. At the time of her death, she was survived by her son [mentioned below], three brothers, a sister, and two grandchildren.
She was the half-sister and surrogate mother (legal guardian) of Malcolm X during formative years (age 14-21). Malcolm X said of her, ‘’No physical move in my life has been more pivotal or profound in its repercussions.’’

He was born William Webb in 1972 in Oklahoma to a Christian family, including a grandfather who served as a preacher.[3] At age 14, he lost interest in religion going through a self-described spiritual crisis. Webb was introduced to Islam at 19. He was selling music tapes at a swap meet when he met a Muslim man selling incense and handing out Korans. Webb took one home and read it in secret for several months.
He converted during his freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma and broke the news to his parents at Thanksgiving dinner that year — when his mother had cooked a turkey and a ham, the latter forbidden by Islam....
In college, Webb met Asma Ayoub, a Muslim Malaysian immigrant who was studying anthropology. They married in 2000 and have two children. Webb calls his wife his “greatest teacher.”
As he worked toward his bachelor’s degree in education, he also studied intensively with a local Muslim scholar. He later became imam of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City before moving to Santa Clara in 2002 at the behest of the Muslim American Society [MAS} there.
The group [MAS] sponsored Webb’s formal Islamic education at Cairo’s Al-Azhar. He returned to the Bay Area full time last summer. [2010]

According to FBI surveillance documents, Suhaib Webb joined Al Qaeda operative Anwar Awlaki (killed by U.S drone strike in 2011) two days before 9/11 in headlining a fundraiser on behalf of H Rap Brown, (aka Jamil al Amin) who had just murdered two police officers in Georgia. That night, Webb and Awlaki raised $100,000 to pay for Brown’s defense. Brown was found guilty of the murders.

The Tsarnaev Brothers and the Islamic Society of Boston
That thread contains all the information that demonstrates how corrupt politicians from Boston all the way up to the governor of Mass. looked the other way (lined their own pockets?) and ignored the will of its citizens to get the Boston mosque built.
It was scandal-ridden and jihadist-connected from the very beginning. The battle to get it built went on for over a decade; it's jihadist ties continue to this day.
Someone should write a book about it. The mosque's story is an islamist's/politician's blueprint I have no doubt is repeated across the country. Its tentacles reach deep into the state and federal levels.
A few unresolved questions I can think of:
What has Ella's son been doing all his life?
What property did Ella owned at her death.
How did the ISBCC come to name its Institute after Ella?
Which imam did Webb replace?
