The hit-and-run ex-con charged with mowing down a young Orthodox Jewish couple in New York last month, killing them and their unborn child, said “accidents happen,” in his first remarks about that death-filled day.

And, 'of course', hit and run means he fled the scene. Circumstantial but indicative, no?

Yah,an “accident” happened to my 18 year old niece and her boyfriend.Both killed by a drunk driver who was “well known to the local police”.He got a couple of years..served 1.5 years.

Well if, in fact, he T-boned a taxi that ran a stop sign, it sounds kind of hard to set that up as a murder. And, if in fact there was a stop sign.

On a *somewhat* related note: last Thursday I attended the hearing that's taking place in Vernon,Connecticut (not far from my sister's home) in which Michael Skakel is seeking a new trial,claiming that his lawyer did a horrible job defending him.He actually testified on the day I attended.Three things struck me about him and his testimony...he's *very* intelligent,*very* articulate and *completely* slimey.During his testimony he accused everyone but Santa Claus of the murder.He suggested that his own brother did it as well as their live in handyman...and their live in tutor (who he described as "a serial killer")...and "three black guys" who,he claims,were seen in the area.

Skakel,like the scumbag who killed these young people in NY,is absolutely amoral.
