Ruslan Tsarni, who publicly denounced his two terrorist nephews' actions and called them 'Losers', even lived with his father-in-law agent Graham Fuller in his Maryland home for a year.

Now I remember this guy. His book was going for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree. I skimmed through it, saw it was a bunch of p.c.b.s. and saved myself a dollar. Best dollar I ever saved.

Perhaps, but that is not in the article. Are you indicating he got the brothers uncle asylum 20 yrs ago so that his nephews could come over later and plot an attack when they grew up. Im a bit confused?

Sorry, I thought I was perfectly clear, but let me restate. I'm curious as to whether this guy used his connections and influence on behalf of the Tsarnaevs when they applied for refugee status - not implying he was involved in the plot.

Answer to scrabblehack and Gen.blather from the other thread....

Scrabblehack,

They don’t like too close an association with “foreign nationals”.

Gen.blather,

Yes it WOULD have to be reported!

The posts for reference:

I’ve not worked for CIA....but can he keep his security clearance? At least the marriage would trigger an inquiry (or at least it used to).

Also sharing a residence with someone has to be declared to the security office too (I’m talking DoD here but so far as I know CIA was stricter).

I think the question is CIA / Graham Fuller support for the Chechen rebels back during the Cold War and whether and to what extent our government’s ties with the rebels were maintained after the collapse of the USSR - whether for intelligence purposes or perhaps in the context of our support for the Georgians or for other reasons. And whether the Boston bombing is in any sense blowback from that, just as the rise of AQ was in some sense related to our support of the Afghan rebels. I certainly would not dismiss this as just a coincidence without taking a hard look at it.

Former CIA officer: ‘Absurd’ to link uncle of Boston suspects, Agency

Retired CIA officer Graham Fuller confirmed to Al-Monitor Saturday that his daughter was previously married to an uncle of the suspects in the Boston Marathon attacks, but called rumors of any links between the uncle and the Agency “absurd.”

Don't the FBI and the CIA both work for the same Muslim golfer?

It seems that many of our CIA officers and their families have gone native.

All reasonable questions.
