An uncle of the Boston bombers was previously married to a CIA officer's daughter for three years, it emerged today.

Ruslan Tsarni, who publicly denounced his two terrorist nephews' actions and called them 'Losers', even lived with his father-in-law agent Graham Fuller in his Maryland home for a year.

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/eric-holder-suspect-miranda-90709.html

Attorney General Eric Holder said on Saturday that “everything was done appropriately” in the questioning of the Boston Marathon bombings suspect.

“Well I mean, the decision to Mirandize him is one that…was totally consistent with the laws that we have,” Holder told CNN as he made his way into the White House Correspondents Dinner. “We had a two-day period…to question him under the public safety exception, so I think everything was done appropriately.”

>>but hardly relevant.

Take a looks at Fuller’s bibliography. The guy’s one of the GS LIFER koolaid peddlers at RAND selling the “It’s a religion of peas meme”.

That’s very relevant considering the impact upon policy that talking-head fools like Fuller have evidently had.

Here’s the problem....The CIA dude should possess “gut” instincts.

My thoughts too - what a great cover for someone who means us ill...

Sadly, he is correct yet so very wrong. They did legally give the FBI the full 48 hours to question him.

When this nest is cleaned out, somebody needs to introduce a new resolution regarding Miranda rights. The way it stands now, sux

Interesting. So, in other words, he was a sympathizer.

This looks like the 50’s with commie sympathizers. Same thing, different animal. Who ARE these people??

Examples of why Government Service should not be a profession?

Interesting story, but hardly relevant.

What I find interesting is the house in question is nothing exciting. Google maps shows it to be a simple ranch style that apparently was too small so the garage was enclosed. Wouldn't you expect a high ranking CIA official to live in a much nicer house?

We’ve heard from crazy mama, equally crazy aunt in Canada, angry uncle, papa, and a short note from the inlaws after they quickly put their house on the market. We’ve not heard a peep out of their two sisters or the wife.

Perhaps 46 - 50 years ago, it was more of the norm. He retired 26 yrs ago. Salaries werent as high then, and people tended to live within their means

I’m beginning to think I’m watching a spin-off series from the FX TV series, The Americans.

Well 26 years ago was way before 9/11 so his expertise was not for front. . I could see the agency call him up on immediate need. Just like they do in the movies. :)

Graham Fuller

Son of the very conservative 1950s literary critic Edmund Fuller.

During the Cold War a lot of the people who went into Russian studies and then into the government had a great love for Russia, but hated Communism.

Fuller, who started out studying Russia, may have been of that sort and moved on to trying to work out the same relationship to the Middle East and Islamism.

At any event, I wouldn't automatically assume that he was an Alger Hiss type.

I get your point, just not sure I agree with your analysis.
Nonetheless, there are far too many muzzies sympathizers in the upper ranks of our government. It skews their ability to be objective in regards to real threats. jmho

Not necessarily true.

This guy is obviously well-connected. It's possible he used his influence and connections to assist the Tsarnaevs in getting asylum here.

The problem is that the judge arrived and read him his “Miranda rights” after only 16 hours of questioning.

Why? Who sent her (the judge) and who wanted to shut up the terrorist?

Federal judges are legally superior to FBI agents, so there was no way they could have resisted and this actually wasn’t the fault of the now fabulously incompetent FBI.
