Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubio seems well meaning enough. As second-generation conservative Americans, I know we both share a common passion for this great land of opportunity. But when it comes to comprehending the real agenda of the open-borders zealots he's allied himself with, Rubio doesn't have a clue.
And his abject ignorance threatens all of us who cherish American sovereignty and exceptionalism.
On Fox News' "The Sean Hannity Show" Tuesday night, Rubio defended his Gang of Eight "immigration reform" bill and insisted that we could and should have a system in place that vets foreign tourists and short-term visa holders based on their "national security" profiles.
"In essence, we should be able to analyze (whether) these are individuals coming from a part of the world that keeps feeding into the terrorist network," Rubio earnestly explained. "(W)e should be very careful about who we allow in and take into account every single measure or every single factor that we think could lead to somebody being more likely possibly a member of a terrorist organization or involved in terror."
Great idea, Rubio! Newsflash: The concept of a national security entry-exit screening database is at least 10 years old. It's an idea that was sabotaged by the progressive soft-on-security ideologues with whom Rubio has recklessly partnered.
In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the Bush administration created NSEERS, the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System. Administered and championed by Justice Department constitutional lawyer, immigration enforcement expert and now-Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, NSEERS stopped at least 330 known foreign criminals and three known terrorists who had attempted to come into the country at certain official ports of entry.

I think Rubio has been seduced by the elitist mentality that has a grip on most politicians. He seems to be backing away and I’m willing to cut him a tiny bit of slack for being naive. He hasn’t been there long enough to be double-crossed.
Rubio has killed his political career...ditto for Ted Cruz. You can’t expect Republicans to support you if your goal is to make excuses for those violating the law.

About the only remaining question is whether Rubio is a willing tool of the open borders pushers, or a useful idiot who is the most gullible newbie to come along in years.
He was double crossed by the National Republican Senatorial Committee NRSC when they endorsed Charlie Crist the very hour that Crist announced, months after Rubio did.
Apparently Rubio missed the lesson on the fool me one, fool me twice saying. Lost in translation?
I’m done giving these people slack. If he believes awarding citizenship to tens of millions of freeloading criminals would be good for the country, there’s a lot more at work than simple naivete.
Like I said, he is naive and that is understandable. I would rather try to win him back (assuming he was with us in the first place) than write him off as a total loss. We should be using persuasion, not name calling.
I agree with Rubio about what he said today on Fox:
What we have now is immigration chaos.
What we have now is DE FACTO AMNESTY.
So, we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. He is right about that.
I refuse to move forward without first securing the borders completely and getting total control of access to the country.
That, however, will NOT pass the Senate and the Presidential signature.
The damnable thing is that my supporting secure borders means we keep what we have now, and what we have now is DE FACTO AMNESTY.
To achieve what I want will require a filibuster proof Senate and the Presidency and the House all being in the hands of conservatives.
That is a pipe dream.
So, I’m stuck with the status quo amnesty. This is insanity.

!...Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? .......Americans making an illegal entry into Mexico are promptly unceremoniously sent back....
2.. The Mexican government through public statements and its educational system lays claims to major portions to all or some of our southwestern states as part of the Mexican nation. Are we asking for trouble by granting their illegals an expressed path to our citizenship laying the groundwork for “squatters rights” at some future date ?
3... If it is deemed necessary to supplement the US labor force by allowing itinerant labor should the individual states make the determiniation as to the number should the offer being needed ? And should that offer not be restricted simply to Mexican nationals but to other central and south American countries as well ? Why should its citizens use up other nations emigration quotas ?
Issue 2
What makes it necessary for US to subjugate our sovereignty because of available cheap labor ? While the Godless Demo-Coms socialists encourage population control and abortion . Then complain the US is not reproducing enough citizens to replace its aging retiring workforce. But rely on (as the Romans did) on foreigners (barbarians) .to keep their welfare ponzie schemes supplied with tax money and keep the system working.....
On the Mexican problem
Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.
Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.
Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections .
I sure agree with him that the borders have to be completely secured.
Let the GOP and Dems do that and then work for reform.

By cutting slack you assume he's too stupid to know what he's doing. If that's the case, the sooner we get rid of him the better.
