The Senate will try again to pass recently defeated gun control legislation, and will be aided by increasing activism from previously neutral voters, Sen. Chuck Schumer predicted today at a press conference.

“I think we will bring the bill back before the end of the year… lots of Senators who thought it was safe to vote against it [April 17] because of the intensity [of gun-rights supporters] are not so sure any more,” Schumer told

I can only conclude that McCain decided that this is his last term.

The Ruling Class Losers better watch out when the lead begins to fly. Chances are great that their handsomely armed body guards will be far outnumbered.

You’d think so, but apparently, all he has to to is pretend to be ‘conservative’ for a few months during a campaign, and AZ voters forget what a liberal he is 99% of the time.

RE :”It seems the AZ electorate want him(McCain).”

He was challenged in his 2010 primary but he lied his way through it (he acted like anti-amnesty border hawk), and he was able to point out he was 2008 GOP POTUS nominee, and last he got someone who is very popular HERE to campaign for him.

I think he doesnt plan on running in GOP primary again because he knows none of that will apply and GOP in AZ will reject him next time.

How can Palin side with him after his gun control vote? I cant imagine she would.

Why?

So that all our attentions will be diverted to the gun control ‘debate’, while Schumer can quietly slip his ‘Schumer Amnesty bill’ through?

The Dem seats they lose to the right will be more than compensated from the ‘immigration reform’. ===> Final calculation, Dems win. How very nice.

Love to. Any way you know of to stop supposed conservatives from going moderate every time someone cries “The Dems will win if you do that!!!”?

Because that is a big reason why no one will get the ball rolling. Every time I hear it come up around here, Repubs start crying like little girls about the evil dems and how they will surely pick up the seat.

Like that would be worse than Johnny?

Schumer the fascist is dreaming.

The bill will be back by the end of the year? Laughable.

The 2014 election cycle will be cranking up at that time, and the rats will scurry away from gun control like Dracula scurrying away from daylight.

The events in the Boston area last week pointed out in the minds of many previously clueless people the need for a firearm for home protection.

And they are right. People might want to consider that.

Sadly, I know McCain types who live in semi-rural areas with no dedicated town police force, they rely of sate troopers to cover multiple towns, particularly at night, who are terrified of having a firearm in their house. The cops will admit that at times the response times can be 10-15 minutes for a home invasion type call. That scares me.

The commie neocons like McCain and Feinstien and Schumer are the problem. They want our pensions in the hands of Wall St and they want more power, and most importantly they want our firearms so that average Americans are neutralized without any power. Power for the few and gun control for the masses is their agenda.

He would have lost his last election if Palin had not gotten the tea party to support him.

She and her fan club really disappointed me on that endorcement. Especially after his staff stabbed her in the back and McCain never stood up for her. He did not even raise hell about the commies rippig on her children. I wish I had never seen McCain’s real and rotten self in that presidential campaign. It was like witnessing a bunch of bodunks watch and giggle through a brown shirt gang rape.

I live in small-town Maine. Most of this state is VERY rural.....there’s no shortage of people living deep in the woods on gravel roads, with few if any neighbors.

The sheriff’s department and state police can take a long time to respond to an emergency, especially during the winter months. In Maine, however, these rural people, whether they are democrats, republicans, libertarians, or whatever, are heavily armed for the most part.

Just today, near the town of Dexter, Maine, a teenager crashed a light pick-up into a pole. He was seen running from the vehicle with a handgun of some sort in his hand. The police were looking for this guy. A young homeowner in the area learned of this armed teen on the loose, and he later said to a reporter, “I armed myself.” He took up a position in a room near the front of his house. Eventually, he saw the armed teenager walk onto his front lawn.

The homeowner went out his back door, went around to the side of his house, and pointed his handgun at the teenager who was heading towards his front door. The homeowner yelled at the teenager, “I’m just as well armed as you are!”
The homeowner held the teenager at gun point until the police arrived and disarmed and arrested the kid.
