Technically, you are correct. However, the definition in Lautenberg’s bill is broad enough to include them.

The MSM will carry the usual water and never define the difference for the unknowing public.

Lather... Rinse... Repeat...

Drip... Drip... Drip...

Moreover, the powder in just about all fireworks isn’t ‘black powder’, but ‘flash powder’ like magicians use. When it burns, it burns bright white. This doesn’t explain how the bombs they detonated at the Boston Marathon had a yellow detonation flame rather than bright white as expected when using flash powder.

Fireworks nerds have been talking about this at length on Internet forums dedicated to fireworks hobbyists and professional pyrotechnics showmen ever since the bombing investigators claimed that the terrorists bought mortar packs with lifting charges at a fireworks wholesaler in New Hampshire, reportedly the same place the 2010 Times Square bomber used to purchase a large amount of ‘M-88’ firecrackers for his bomb which failed.

ATFE has declared two non-explosives to be explosive: flash powder (KClO4-Al) and potassium nitrate- sugar (amateur rocket fuel).

He is attempting the same trick the antis use with “assault weapon”, playing on the public’s ignorance in the field.

Cambodia?

I don't know. Even Pol Pot though he was building a "better society" (through thought control, terror, forced collectivization, etc.), just as Mao had attempted in China a decade before.

I still cannot think of a historical example analogous to our own, where a popular national leader (twice-elected) intentionally set his government to the task of undermining the economic power and political influence of his own nation, in part by taking the side of its adversaries in world affairs, and also by refusing to name its existential enemy.

And I cannot recall a precedent for such a leader intentionally inflicting pain (e.g. - via narrowly-targeted and unnecessary "sequester" actions) on his own people purely out of petulance, spite and/or naked political calculus.

It is almost as though the American leader has no roots in, or sentimental attachment for his own country...

...require background checks to be run on anyone buying explosive powder, a reaction to last week's Boston Marathon bombing.

From what I understand, these two brothers didn't have a criminal record before the bombings. So a background check on them wouldn't have stopped them.

BTW, gunpowder was invented over 1000 years ago. Its ingredients can be found in just about any hardware or garden supply store. So what's next? Conduct a background check on anyone who walks into a Home Depot?

How long is it before one's own government, by refusing to even name, much less fight against its sworn enemies, itself becomes an even greater enemy of its own people?

Up until about 4-1/2 years ago I would have answered that question with "sometime in the next 20-25 years", but now I think we're almost there today. Obama is not only the most incompetent president in US history, he ranks highest in the running for the most dangerous enemy the US has ever faced whether foreign or domestic. One camouflaged enemy in the camp poses a greater danger than a thousand enemies in the open field.

One camouflaged enemy in the camp poses a greater danger than a thousand enemies in the open field.

That is undeniably true.

But what happens when the commander in chief of your army refuses to call the enemy in your own camp "the enemy", and refers to his acts not as "terrorism" but instead, as "workplace violence"?

And that is where we are today.

They bought fireworks. Does he really expect every roadside fireworks stand to run background checks?

He's a democrat, of course he does. His ilk would like to run background checks on us just to buy food. That way we will become more dependent on the government to feed us. Job security for BIG GOVERNMENT.

So, we were literally bombed by our own government?

See post #50. Blogger posted it on Monday after the bombs went off. You decide.

If you mix a large quantity of pool chlorine with gasoline, it will shortly explode. A distant ex-relative of mine discovered that by accident while trying to smoke out a hornet’s nest. Will they be requiring background checks for pool chlorine and gasoline?

Attempt at back door (under the radar ) gun control as Obama was promising.

Says Barack "Obama admits he’s coming for our guns, telling Sarah Brady, ‘We are working on (gun control), but under the radar.’

They are deliberately importing and creating the very problems they’re using as excuses to take our freedoms.

Christians are in imminent danger across the world, and yet they are being refused refugee status, while Muslim refugee immigration goes on unimpeded.

Very well put.

The only remaining question would be; is Obama acting out from his own misaligned instincts which run contrary to prosperity and peace, by default, as he thinks himself doing the nation great service, or is he acting from deliberate calculation to hasten this nation's demise, by any means he can get away with?

The American Left, is demonic.

Ammunition has explosive powder. Background check to buy ammo is what this is all about.

The big question is what doses he mean by explosive powder.

Start with baking soda and go from there...

Ammunition has explosive powder. Background check to buy ammo is what this is all about.

DHS is buying up all the ammo (which is why the shelves are bare. What they'll eventually do with all that ammunition, we can only guess.....cough......see Pol Pot).
They're after the powder so we can't make our own to replace it.
No powder = no ammo. No ammo = no guns. No guns = no self defense.

To be correct, cartridges (not bullets) have powder, which burns very rapidly, but does not detonate.

This is a challenge to the second ammendment (again) and a threat to reloaders.

Remember this and Obamacare?

Nancy Pelosi:

“We’ll go through the gate. If the gate’s closed, we’ll go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we’ll pole vault in. If that doesn’t work, we’ll parachute in but we're going to get health care reform passed for the America people."

same Pelosi..Obama mentality with gun control.
--fast and furious, cultural attack to shun guns (similar to cigarettes), banks stop funding gun mgr, UN treaty, gov buys up ammo supply, increase mental health classification....gun powder..

.
.

We are all aware (I hope) that it is illegal for the federal government to require and keep permanent records on the names, addresses, firearms SN#s and demand them from firearms dealers.

Next there will be a VAT tax - with all that entails

This alleged “Marketplace Fairness Act” is just an unlimited “internet sales tax” which will constitute a mandatory federal registration list of gun owners - which would then lead to banning, taxing, and/or confiscation of the honest American citizen’s firearms.

Like Obamacare - the IRS and HHS will suddenly be writing thousands of rules and regulations every week - bypassing Congress

Excutive Orders will flow from Opansy’s mouth and sneak into your bank accounts and your gun safe.

Call the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) Institute for Legislative Action (NRA/ILA) right now and ask them if this would be illegal and unconstitutional and be an infringement on the 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution.

NRA/ILA

1-(877)-672-7632
1-(800)-672-3888

Put down you coffee and call now

Do you want Valerie Jarrett paying for her Cape Cod vacations with the illegal internet taxes grabbed from your online firearms and/or ammo purchases?

Are you just going to be like the Jews in 1930s Germany saying: “I am a good little NAZI and my father bravely fought as a soldier for Germany in WWI.”

So did Hitler you idiots!
