And, indeed, a federal judge today decided that case in this fashion: Congress decides what the laws are, it is up to the Executive to enforce them -- and they cannot pick and choose.
I like that and I'm filing it for future use.
Is this what you had in mind? A HISTORY OF TERM LIMITS IN THE UNITED STATES
In it, it described the term limit set by the Roman Republic, hence your "Romanian term limits" comment.
I was totally WRONG on my guess.
Buuuuump!
LOL, didn’t Hillary used to have one of those prankster potties?
Yep, I have one of Hillary on it too. It may get revived...
I had just sent you an email and saw your ping!!
What is even worse, IMHO, is the response from one of the ‘Gang of 8’:
Even Gang of Eight member Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) admits the amount of authority the bill would cede to the administration is controversial. Biggest challenge on #immigrationreform has been well founded lack of trust that Obama administration will enforce the law, Rubio Tweeted on Tuesday. Its [sic] a big problem
1) I don’t see where Congress can cede ANY relegated Powers to anyone (including the Fed, EPA, etc.); but what do I know, I’m just a simple taxpayer/serf.
2) History has shown the ‘promises’ of gov’t to be self-serving; but he’s STILL on board/pushing this POS, thinking ‘If only we can get over this *one, little* hurdle’ of trust....He must be brain dead!
3) Even after her admission, NOBODY on the committee says WORD ONE?! Wow, some GOP ‘leadership’
In other words, he (Rubio) is a sell-out.
So Big Sis you are saying that if the AG determines that enforcement of civil rights is a low priority they can choose not to enforce the Civil Rights Act?
How about the provisions of EEO, EPA and labor law, can an administration simply redirect resources from these enforcement programs if it feels there are greater priorities else where.
This administration just jumped the shark in a staggering way. We need to stuff this down their throats until they choke on their arrogance and lawlessness.
But alas we only have the GOP.
Perfect.
Where ARE you, Boehner????
Succinct...I like it :P
Never cared for him even back here at home.
Is there ANYONE, aside from Cruz and maybe one or two others, that are talking some push-back??
I don't know about others.
Graham seemed pretty sure they could muster 70 votes FOR.
