Army could lose 100,000 soldiers due to sequestration.

The budget Congress finally passed a month ago will help matters, but the service says it's still more than $15 billion short of funds in fiscal 2013. Army senior leaders told the Senate Armed Services Committee Tuesday that the elimination of a continuing resolution and the passage of a formal budget only fixed about a third of the funding problem they face this year. The sequestration cuts that Congress left in place will force them to find $7.6 billion in savings in the next six months.

On top of that, the Army is short ..........

Wow, look at all the damage a mere $85B did.

Let’s cut another $850B. This is fun.

Don’t fret. Bozo will now be able to use those funds to hire 100,000 Bloods, Crips, and Gangsta Disciples at DHS.

Of course, letting the homosexuals infest the barracks and putting women in combat probably won’t help either. If I were a young man of military age, the last place I’d go is a homosexual-infested armed forces. Better to go into an trade somewhere.

***Army could lose 100,000 soldiers due to sequestration.***

Nothing new. I was released three months early from a four year enlistment due to budget cuts back in 1969.

So if $7.6 billion pays for 100,000 troops and their equipment...

The Army is saying that they only need about $30 billion total, right?

Six Sigma addresses variability in a process. Lean is about eliminating waste.

I was going to mention the same thing. With the faggotization of the armed services, there’s no way in hell I’d ever enlist or have anything to do with the military. The uniform no longer carries the weight or meaning it used to.

And if we were invaded he would sit and do nothing just to “punish” the RP then blame it on them and get the liberals worked up so he could say,”See, I told you so” and then use it to his advantage on all other budget decisions. This is the type of guy we have at helm. A captain that would run his ship straight into the rocks just to punish his crew...

The uniform no longer carries the weight or meaning it used to.

And then to have the Pentagon refuse to promote any generals who won't guarantee that they'll fire on and kill innocent Americans on our own soil, just adds to the disgust I have for the Washington puppet-handlers that are leading our sock-puppet so-called president.

Meanwhile, the US gummint is still sending BILLIONS in military aid to moslem terrorist states like Kosovo, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, and terrorist organizations like Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, and Palestinian Authority.

Why doesn’t anybody with a larger voice than mine ASK WHY??

This will be worse than the 70’s, both Republicans and Democrats are eager to gut the military to put more money into things that will directly contribute to their reelection.

The Army and the Marines always bear the brunt of the sacrifice during wartime, and the Army always takes in on the chin in cut backs after it’s over. The Marines would too, but they fought and won political inoculation against such cuts during the Chowder Society fight in the late 40’s. We pay a big price in blood and costs when the next war comes along. These days there’s no Ronald Reagan to stem the tide.

$15b funding shortfall, out of a budget of about $700b budgeted for the Pentagon.

Let’s see. 1/47th of their budget cut, so they might have to let go 100,000 soldiers.

In perspective, the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV) is slated to cost $15.9b *for development*. That is, after spending almost $16b, we will have no vehicles, just plans on how to make them. By spending a lot more money.

Since 2001, military and security expenditures have soared by 119 percent.

The #1 rule for bureaucrats, including military bureaucrats, is that “When budget cuts are threatened, offer to cut the meat, never the fat.”

They know that politicians, the public, and lobbyists will *always* “fight to keep the meat”, but if the bureaucrats foolishly offer to cut the fat, it will be cut, and more than they can tolerate. And they will lose funding for much meat as well.
