In my undergrad days, I majored in English Lit. - had everything for a double major in History - except I didn't take one of their rinky-dink core courses. So I settled for a double major in Bridge. I think I pissed the head of the History Department off when I dropped his course "American Intellectual History" so that I could play Bridge from 1:00 to 2:30 pm in the Student Union rather than listen to his ridiculous left-wing reflections on why American street names were determined and other useless trivia. This jackass actually ruminated on the supposed "found under carnal knowledge" derivation of the F-bomb.

I played Bridge and his idiotic course interfered with it. I saw my duty and discharged it, as always! 'Nuff said!

LOL!!! I’m off to the airport to pick up my brother for a half hour visit. Then he has an 11pm plane to Georgia for R&R. Back later.

Rest well and drive safely tomorrow. *HUGS*

I had a Psych 101 professor like that.

I had a protracted argument with him because he was insisting that ALL babies are breast-fed.

I am the oldest of six and knew for a fact that what he was saying WAS NOT TRUE. In fact, in the early 50’s, due to the proliferation of baby formula products, Nursing was DISCOURAGED.

We argued for about 20 minutes until the prof blurted out:

“Well, I have a friend who works at Boston Children’s Hospital, and SHE told me that all babies are Breast-fed!!!”

To which I replied:

“The average age of a Patient at Boston Children’s Hospital is 7 years old. What percentage of them are NURSING MOTHERS?”

The class burst into applause and the prof changed the subject.
