Thursday was another busy day for the Gang of 8 immigration reform effort, which has come to mean Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and his staff were everywhere on talk radio, on the Senate floor, at a press conference, manning their new Web site and sending batches of e-mails to the media to debunk attacks. (“We need more transparency and greater scrutiny of this bill as the process continues, and it’s important for this particular committee to look at how this bill helps our economy and encourages job creation, as well as ways we can improve it that will further help American workers find better job opportunities.”) In a none-too-subtle dig at immigration exclusionists who doubt the economic benefit of immigration, he noted, “As conservatives, we’ve always believed any serious policy cost analysis must account for the positive benefits of any policy – the same way tax cut ‘scores’ must account for revenue inevitably generated from economic growth.” On the Senate floor he reiterated what will be a frequent refrain in the weeks and months ahead: “If there wasn’t a single illegal immigrant in the United States, we would still have to do immigration reform.”

1. We must take immediate action to replace Jen Rubin on the Washington Post's opinion page, something that we, as conservatives as opposed to the general readership, actually have the power to do. As one of the leading false conservatives on its editorial page, she’s done incalculable damage to our movement The Post keeps Rubin on there for "balance"-- she's touted as a member of the "conservative" roster to balance out the liberals, so in the editors’ minds, she’s supposed to represent us. What the WaPo editorial staff fails to realize is that as a neocon, aka a globalist Trotskyist liberal posing as a conservative, Rubin is not in any way a conservative, and she does not in any way represent the views of the conservative movement. Like her fellow neocon Charles Krauthammer, she writes tripe that fills up the Post's "conservative" slot and so steals valuable column space away from a real conservative.
If we make it clear to the Post’s editorial staff that we, as conservatives, absolutely do not see Jen Rubin as representing us and our views, the Post will be forced to fire her and replace her with a real conservative who does, lest they bleed their subscriber base and circulation. Call and especially email and snail-mail the Post, over several days and weeks if necessary, after every article where she talks up this dungpile immigration reform bill or swoons over Marco Rubio, to drum this point home. The subject line should be simple but direct, something like-- “Replace Jen Rubin now! She does not represent me as a conservative.”
2. Suggest a replacement for Jennifer Rubin’s “conservative slot”. I’m thinking someone like Michelle Malkin or Erick Erickson. Or maybe, as a more direct conservative counter to Rubin on immigration and economic policy, a paleo-con like Paul Craig Roberts. This alone would do wonders for the conservative movement and help to better represent our populist views to the public.
3. Follow up with a general full-scale assault on the amnesty and H1B-pushing turncoat RINO’s like Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan and Loser Lindsey Graham, especially House Reps like Ryan and Senators like Graham who are up for reelection in 2014. Let’s work to recruit primary challenges for each of them as well as any other pro-amnesty RINO, and encourage them to start revving up immediately, as in today, not waiting until 2014 or later. Graham is especially vulnerable as his popularity is dropping and South Carolina conservatives are already seeking a primary challenger. A good, true conservative primary challenger would be State Sen. Lee Bright from Spartanburg, who’s already come out against amnesty and the H1B in the immigration reform bill-- http://www.leebrightsc.com/contact/ Write to him and express your support, donate to his campaign and make it clear that you’ll donate and support further if he stands up, immediately, to publicly criticize turncoat RINO Lindsey Graham and immediately mount a primary challenge to him, starting now. Make it clear to any wavering House Reps, all of whom have to face the primaries in 2014, that they'd better take a strong stand against amnesty and the H1B, or be primaried themselves. That includes Paul Ryan for certain, and potentially Eric Cantor and John Boehner if they fail to hold the line. Anyone know a good primary challenger for RINO traitor Paul Ryan in Wisconsin?
4. As always, light up the switchboards and call your Congressional Reps daily to express your anger about this immigration reform tripe, even Dem representatives if you have them. My apolitical friends and even Dems I know are furious about amnesty and the H1B visa, and if conservatives take a strong stand against them, we’ll win in 2014.
Make it clear that we expect full-throated opposition to the immigration bill from our representatives, and in the Senate, that means filibusters, holds and every other tool available to cripple this America-wrecking legislation. Anything less will prompt a primary challenge and worse, including public humiliation of any Republican who supports or does not sufficiently oppose the immigration bill, to make their careers toxic and leave them unable to get the cushy post-electoral consultant jobs that the RINO’s in particular crave. This is already having the desired effect, as for example the calls and letters to Rand Paul have already pressed him to back off his pro-amnesty stance, and oppose the immigration reform bill publicly.
5. Write letters to the editor and call in to the radio shows to express the same whenever you can. This effort is tough and ruthless as it should be, because defeating this Obama-Rubio amnesty must be our #1 priority now that the gun-grabber bill is dead. We can do no less in the defense of our land.
From what I’ve heard Rubio is absolutely taking it on the chin in his talk radio appearances trying to defend this turkey. I suspect we are looking at a midnight jamdown coming here, probably just before the start of a holiday weekend.
The Democrats love this bill. They are salivating over “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”. That is really all any Republican/conservative needs to know to oppose it.
Any bill that turns 12-20 million Democrat supporting law breakers into legalized voters is a terrible idea. There is absolutely no good that can come from this.

The Republican comprehensive immigration plan should consist of one item: Secure the border, don't talk to me until it is done.
The frosting on the cake is that these new citizens will be allowed to apply for their relatives to come here and eventually they too become citizens.
Where in Sam Hell is the republicans on this? Oh, my bad, they are in on it.
Gotta ask yourself a serious question. If this bill would alter voting demographics through the next decade in favor of the democrats...why would republicans push so hard for the bill?

Of course I get the nagging feeling this was all Engeered by Obama and his thugs to undermine and destroy the Republican party by getting puppets like Rubio to support policy that alienates him from the base and would distoy the party permanently anyway.

I have always thought that Rubio was chosen by the GOP hierarchy to push this bill with big promises for his future. Truth is, the Bush family is probably behind it to push Jeb in the top position for 2016. They know that amnesty hurt George, so they probably set Rubio up knowing he would be ruined and out of the way.

If so its a terrible stragity, the GOP platform will be so damaged by the backstabbing its unlikely Jep would win anything even if he did get the nomination.
The weasel Rubio was just on Hannity and was given the “soft gloves” treatment by Hannity. Rubio continued with his dissembling and attempts to mislead. His eyes, particularly his right eye gave the appearance that he might have had a drink or two to loosen up. I think things are starting to catch up with this despicable liar!

Hannity’s really been disappointing me on this, he’s been too cozy with the GOP establishment and the neocon cheap labor lobby. At least some of the others have been less shy about taking Rubio down. The message is that the grassroots have to be hypervigilant here and push back at every point, because we’re fighting against the Establishment. The irony is that on very critical issues like this, Citizens United and the Big Money interests are our enemies, too, because that big money doesn’t support conservative causes, only the kinds of things that would bring them immediate profit at the expense of our nation.
So the politicians in both parties are bitterly opposed by the vast majority of both their grassroots. But that’s also our advantage, sheer numbers, passion and intensity. That’s what all the political contributions in the world can’t beat. The key for us is to push hard, every day, be on the attack with contacts to our representatives, letters to the editor and every other medium we can use.
Get rid of her? No. I like the cut of Jennifer Rubin’s jib. Go to the article, then go look at some of the other stuff she’s written.
This is your answer. They have given up on taking the long term view that X millions of illegals that become legal will soon be voting Democrat and doom the Republican party and conservatives. Plus their children voting Democrat.
INSTEAD they take the short term view and it is only what helps me Marco Rubio get re-elected? What helps me Linseed Graham get re-elected? What helps me Rand Paul get re-elected or seek the presidency?
