Ricin comes from castor beans, and is a by-product of making CASTOR OIL.
The plants and the beans are beautiful and the plants are very common ornamental shrubs.
I used to play with castor beans when I was a child. I used them as cargo in the freight cars of my Lionel electric train.

Exactly. My guess is that they either know or have reason to believe that the Ricin came from another member of the Religion of Peace. Since it would have looked very bad for them to come out with a Muslim suspect in that Terror attack while hunting door to door with SWAT teams for Muslim suspects in the OTHER terror attack, they had to shut that angle down quick. So, you pick up a kooky Elvis Impersonator, who is a Democrat so that the media wont make a big deal out of his arrest (as opposed to if they had arrested a right wing guy). Then after the first crisis is over, you quietly release him, say “our bad” and who will remember this crisis.
