Waltham police have stepped up their investigation of a 2011 triple homicide where a friend of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev was brutally murdered, according to a relative of one of the victims who was interviewed by the Globe.
The relative said Sunday that police have renewed the investigation at the request of victims’ relatives who believe Tamerlan, and perhaps his younger brother, Dzhokhar, played a role in the homicides. Authorities have said the victims all had their throats slit.

Now the scene was staged to suggest some kind of drug issue with pot spread over the bodies, but that could well be a diversion. I haven't yet seen anything to suggest that Brendan Mess and the others had anything to do with drugs, but whether or not they did (could be part of the motivation for someone like Tamerlan to kill them), it is highly suspicious that such an Al Qaeda style butchery (throat slitting) should happen to ppl close to Tamerlan on the very 10th ANNIVERSARY of 9/11 no less.
Suspicion is not evidence, of course, but these unsolved murders should be regarded as highly suspicious in relation to the Boston terrorists. Every possible lead needs to be examined. “Interesting” to know whether or not Tamerlan came under close intensive scrutiny two years ago, since he should have been an obvious potential “person of interest” — did political correctness divert investigators from looking too closely at a fervent Muslim who increasingly believed in jihad???
Thiswill push them to the top of liberal Icons.
We may see a push by Chris Matthews for a day honoring them.
Some of us said that the night of the live thread on the MIT shooting when someone posted the info.it is clear as day. He left the gym he went to...then left the country for six months. Probably the best friend discovered his terror plot.
Two of the victims were Jewish....

The guys killed were druggies. Do a search on the names and you get informed dialog from friends and users who agree they dealt..
But what if murdering his dealer was the first step in Al Qaeda’s get off drugs program?

Their throats were cut so severely, the victims were almost beheaded....Cash and dope was just left in the residence, which clearly seemed to indicate this was no robbery.
It’s possible that one or more of the three murder victims became aware of something suspicious about Tamerlan and/or his brother. Supposedly Al Qaeda and similar terror groups like to “blood” their recruits with some murderous activity before bringing them into more sensitive plots.
However, the fact that someone so close to Tamerlan MIGHT easily have led investigators to focus upon Tamerlan makes me wonder if it was more along the lines of a fracas over the anniversary of 9/11, and/or if Tamerlan said or did something that revealed his jihad loyalties, etc.
Just guessing, but if the Boston Bombers were involved in this past triple murder (on 9/11/2011) I’d suspect it was something sudden, as in a confrontation about 9/11 or jihad/Islam etc. that spun out of control.... or the roommate learned something about Tamerlan that meant (to a terrorist cell) that the guy had to be gotten rid of fast.
After the murders, they were looking for two men.
The younger brother was a pot-head but such was against strict islam (and this was a way for him to break from this habit)...and such a murder would have been a good training exercise for bigger work (or so the directing organization might have thought).
He and Brendan Mess would go to the gym together. After the murder, Tamerlan stopped going, and according to a UK paper, he didn’t go to Brendan’s funeral, which folks found rather strange. Throats slashed, pot and money tossed over the bodies. It’s been said Tamerlan’s attitude changed after Brendan’s death. Was that change caused because he and his brother got away with the murders?
Blood initiation is always important in preparation. Secures commitment and removes exit passageways.
Have they published the actual dates he was out of the country in 2011? I say 2011, because I'm assuming he was interviewed by the FBI at Russia's request, sometime after returning from there. Brother is naturalized on 9/11/11. Murders occurred 9/12/11. Was he interviewed by the FBI before or after the murders? Anybody know?

That changed their 'attitude', rather quickly, and would explain why Tamerlan quit going to the gym.

Makes no sense. What would fit better is if his 'handlers' did it to get him off drugs, and ensure he would be ready for his 'task'.
If the handlers did the hit they might have first made sure that Tamerlan and his brother had ironclad alibis so that nothing could possibly point to them..... it will be interesting to learn whether police looked at that aspect and if Tamerlan did in fact have a tight alibi.
