The really disappointing thing here is the only people to blame are the voters. This disaster can't be blamed on the "establishment" or inexperienced Tea Party groups - this one is purely on the voters. And not just any old voters, supposed conservative "values voters" in a heavily Republican Southern district. They bought into Sanford's "give me a second chance" crap. And we make fun of Democrats for nominating losers this.
Sanford is a 2 term governor and has never lost an election.
He was absolutely the right choice in that race even with his baggage... the others did not have money and weren’t even known!
Keep the faith and help him out that’s what I’m doing... the establishment will not help Mark, he’s on his own.
He’s used to it. He has been fighting against his own party just as much as the Dems during his career and his time as SC governor.
He’s actually - gasp - a conservative!
