Everyone knows about the terrible backlash against America Muslims after 9-11, so it's understandable for Muslims to be worried about a post-Boston bombing backlash, right?
What? There was no major backlash against Muslims in 2001 or thereafter? American Jews suffer far more religion-based attacks than Muslims every year? Then why did Andrea Mitchell today exclaim that Muslims were "understandably" very worried about a backlash?

Just to clarify, as the article goes on to make clear, the author [me] was being sarcastic when speaking of the “terrible backlash.”
What freaking backlash? Were thousands of Muslims hunted down and slaughtered? Were mosques around the US bombed? What backlash? The ATTITUDE that Americans had for people that murdered innocent Americans? That backlash? Yeah, not sorry for that.

I don’t recall Muslims being hounded through the streets after 9/11.
A few Sikhs got beat up because the jerks who did it didn’t know what a Sikh was.

Haven’t heard a lot of Muslims saying “Those guys don’t represent Islam. They are evil and they deserve whatever happens to them.”
If Muslims wish to remove the stain they need to clean house.
Muslim woman in Malden MA said she got punched in the shoulder and sworn at near the Orange Line Station. I live here. City Hall is across the street. So is the Police Department and two banks. It was in the morning when this is the busiest part of town and loaded with cameras. Yet NO ONE saw this incident which allegedly went on for two minutes!

Here’s the “Backlash”:
Muslims slaughtered 3,000 on 9/11 so the the US government increased the number of muslims immigrants we take in every year.
America gives muslims like the two Boston Bombers scholarships to the best colleges in the world.
Colleges which, incidentally, exist because they are partially subsidized by American taxpayers.
Muslims hold something like 90% of the taxi driver jobs in NY City.
Muslims demand, and get, special work rules to accommodate them at businesses nationwide.
Cities like Boston give muslims sweetheart deals on land purchases, zoning waivers and building permits to build their mosques through which they spread hate and militancy.
Muslims are buying up all the pizzerias in the country.
We have a muslim in the senate, a muslim in congress, a muslim in the White House.
Muslims are everywhere - we can’t get away from them anymore.
If there is any more backlash like we have seen since 9/11 we’ll soon be finding muslims in our sock drawers.
What she really means is she is worried about a backlash against an incompetent and corrupt media, and against an incompetent and subverted FBI and 0-administration.
