Source reveals research included high-value targets inside U.S.
Qasem Soleimani, the head of Irans Quds Forces, ordered reconnaissance and intelligence gathering on various events and public gatherings in the United States years ago, culminating in the bombings at the Boston Marathon one week ago, WND has learned.
According to a source within Irans intelligence services, the Islamic regimes Quds Forces, a special unit of the Revolutionary Guards in charge of extraterritorial operations, have done extensive planning on gatherings, events and high-value targets in the United States for some time, but for two years focused on events such as the Boston Marathon.
The source had earlier provided information that tied the Islamic regime to the Boston attack and pointed to the collaboration of the regimes Quds Forces with the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah and elements of al-Qaida with links to an operational center in South Asia. He said that under Quds Force guidance, Hezbollah recruited sympathizers through collaborators connected to South Asia for terrorist activities in the U.S.
Another source in December told WND that the Quds Forces had drawn up plans for terrorist attacks in the U.S. starting within six months and that an operational team was in the United States to prepare for the attacks. He also said then that suicide bombers and potential terrorists were ready to attack Canada and European countries, including France and England.
The plan was to be automatically launched if America did not accept Irans nuclear program, if sanctions increased or a military confrontation took place. The regime felt it must act because current sanctions, which have already devastated Irans economy, could spark civilian rioting.
Another worry for the regime, the December source said, was that the push to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad would be a big blow to the Islamic regime and...

We should return the favor.
The ability of people to believe a serial liar like WND/Khalili is much bigger than I want to believe.
Iran, posibly - I have myself posted a story on Iran’s relation to Chechen terrorists - but then again Iran is not Saudi Arabia, and isn’t that nice?
And obviously, the jihadist now in the hospital obtained his US citizenship fraudulently. He never intended any allegiance whatsoever to America or our constitution. It should be revoked and the enemy combatant should stand before a military court and then briefly on the hangman’s platform.
Islamic sympathizer B. Hussein Obama is an absolute disgrace to America.
Just follow the money....
Shiite Iran has been working with Sunni AQ - and Saudi Arabia - for many, many years.
Where do you think Zawahiri and Gadahn have been living?
In Iran. Being waited on by the Revolutionary Guards.
Iran?? Is this story suppose to get people away from the Saudi connection?
...to Wing Nut Daily making ad money from pagehits from interesting, but fabricated, stories.
The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Where do you think Zawahiri and Gadahn have been living? In Iran. Being waited on by the Revolutionary Guards.
Could well be. Do you have any links?
Oh but they acted alone! The death cult had nothing to do with it! It was random violence. They didn’t fit in. They had no friends. Someone said towelhead.
Hey it’s on the internet...must be true < /sarcasm>
Why are you bashing conservative sources.
Put up your proof to back your objections instead of calling names like socialists do.
Come on - be a grown up.
Oh but they acted alone! The death cult had nothing to do with it! It was random violence. They didnt fit in. They had no friends. Someone said towelhead.
I don't say towel head; I do, however, say Islam isn't a religion, but an anti-religion. It's an imperialist totalitarian ideology that masquerades as a religion. It's based on hatred and moral exceptionalism, and deserves to be excluded from any list of religions.
Reads like something from Debka.
I missed the part about obtaining his citizenship fraudulently. Please explain.
Quite a few, actually. Mesta was the first one I know to spot the RevGuards around Zawahiri way back and mentioned it in a report to Admiral Lowell Jacoby in 2005.
Since then, it has been more or less common knowledge, for example that Laden’s sons and grandchildren were being run by Iran with an eye to taking over AQ in the future, and that the upper echelon AQ was safehoused in Iran for long periods of time.
On the blog, we have some nifty footage of these critters being displayed by the Iranians, and run through military training.
Islam is proto-socialism, and the worst of the bunch.
The umma is a soviet.
Well, didn’t he just obtain his US citizenship last year? And did he swear an allegiance at the time? All the while plotting jihad on America? Sounds like fraud to me.
WND has been questionable for years to put it nicely. The ads on the site are another indicator. All charlatans and rip-offs. The site is pathetic at best.
I overlooked the obvious.
WND is a valuable conservative source that you are trying to destroy.
Where are your facts? Start your own thread for your attack. This thread already has a topic that you should stick to.
Thanks, will check later.
Just because it’s conservative does not mean it’s a reliable and trusted source of news. PERIOD.
“I never bought the denials about the 5 unexploded bombs.”
Don’t forget the fire at JFK library. Has that been explained yet? Did I miss something?
Another daily sensation from the kids in mom’s basement to the short attention spanned who’ll forget about it by the time the sun sets.
DEBKA kids are jealous!
WND...or what I call World Nut Daily, is similar to those grocery store checkout magazines like the Globe etc...
Sometimes they actually break a legit story but most often they hype existing ones with vaguely connected or unrelated but interesting side stories..
The site has a place in the news cycle as we have always had a tabloid press, but you need to be careful with their content and take it with a grain of salt......
Well, this story will never see the light of day in the Lamestream Media.
Defamationalso called calumny, vilification, traducement, slander (for transitory statements), and libel (for written, broadcast, or otherwise published words)is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, religion, or nation a negative or inferior image.
See post #34.
Yeah......Any idiot could and has sued WND and others for defamation. Unfortunately....it’s very hard to prove. Especially for a organization masquerading as news media...
Oh, I think you know we’re talking about you.
Why spend your time jumping threads with a WND source? Because you’re a troll?
Get over to DU and do your work with your peers.
doesn’t prove it isn’t either. period.
“According to Malizia, the plot was supported by al Qaeda elements in Iran.

I think your second statement is dead on the money, Hardraade, though I'm not sure I can regard Islam as proto-socialist.
I think it's safe to say tyranny is tyranny is tyranny; conversely, I doubt that actually says a great deal.
It seems to me Islam has more in common with feudalism than socialism. It's a thoroughly religious-looking ideology that rigidly statifies humanity into a social pyramid based on inheritance. Marxism in all its numerous guisescommunism, socialism, "liberalism" or "progressivism" in the U.S.is outwardly anti-religious, though in practice, it's much like a religion. It, too, mandates social stratification, but in theory, at least, one's social status isn't inherited, though in practice, it often is. European feudalism seems to me the closest match to Islam, with several differences:
Christianity was a genuine religion, whereas Islam clearly isn't.
Christianity evolved beyond the practices of the Middle Ages, whereas Islam has remained petrified in the same form since shortly after its emergence.
Christianity has adapted to changing social conditions and mores without losing its fundamental principles, whereas Islam clearly hasn't.
Christianity has repudiated the forms of hatred it accepted and even embraced in the past, whereas Islam hasn't.
Those significant differences aside, Islam and feudalism seem closely similar to me: theology dominates everything; the rigid social order is unquestionable; the very few rule the vast majority with absolute theological authority, any anything new is anathema. What passes for "justice" is brutal. I have a hunch women in Europe during the Middle Ages were better off than women under sharia today, though probably not by a great deal.
The moral and intellectual mountain range America still hasn't crossed is the realization Islam is an anti-religion rather than a religion. Until we accept that fact, I'm afraid, we'll continue to spin our wheels.
Yeah....I knew what you were saying...and it was so stupid I had to reply.
Just like I am replying to this one....
I’ve seen some reports recently that Zawahiri and other Al Qaeda leaders are moving to Egypt.
We know who we can thank for that of course.
See this thread:
Iran had nothing to do with it. This was a Saudi operation.
Sue me then, Joe.
You claim to be a conservative, right? I would expect you to have higher standards of behavior all on your own.
Heck, I’d belive them over resident hussein any day.
We need to worry more about our Saudi “friends” than our Iranian enemies. The Iranians once worked with the US in Afghanistan against the same group that murdered both American and Iranian citizens.
Behavior? I’m only challenging your beliefs.
Isn’t just great that anyone can declare himself a “news media”, set up and website, and send his girlfriend trolling forums, advertising and defending it, calling opponents names, and so on. What a great country!
