taxpayers are closer to slaves than “undocumented immigrants”

Rubio and Jeb Bush are best buds. Jeb also has a Mexican American wife.

Since they are buds, maybe expect a Jeb Bush - Rubio ticket.

May I suggest that because people keep voting for the lesser of two evils, that is the very REASON a viable 3rd party cannot and does not form?

Hate to say this, but if Jeb Bush is the GOP candidate in 2016, I’ll sit out the election. I will not vote for another Bush no matter what.

The time for a viable third party is when the Democrats stink so bad they can’t even come up with a third of the votes. Otherwise we have only a spoiler situation.

This is the sort of thing you expect out of liberal-emote, not out of conservative-think.

I fully agree.

I interpreted that to mean if you are here working then you should be allowed to become a citizen any time you want and if we don't allow you to, then that is treating that person like a slave.

And, since England doesn't want Piers Morgan back, and he likes it here, he should be allowed to be a citizen right now. I think I would throw up if Piers was a citizen of this country.

Then you need to stop complaining about things you vote FOR. Because rather than vote to end the problems you will continue to elect another Rubio and wonder why life sucks.

And not just you. Everyone who thinks like you. Tell me something. To an alien coming here from Mars, he sees a bunch of people acting like blacks on the Dem plantation with their votes. Then he sees them having a fit when they get what they themselves vote for. Can you understand why Mork is a bit baffled?

Re: “I think Rand is on board with this insanity.”

I agree.

The tip off is always the same.

Amnesty supporters never talk about E-Verify or employer sanctions, which would end our illegal immigration problem in a couple months.

No job?

No money.

Adios, illegals.

Rubio is now talking about E-Verify enforcement in 5 years.

5 Years?

E-Verify is less complicated than the Free Republic website.

Why can't we have enforcement tomorrow?

“if Jeb Bush is the GOP candidate in 2016, I’ll sit out the election.”

I heard Jeb’s speech at the CPAC convention and when he said, “And, in conclusion,” the people started clapping. He pause, looked stunned, then continued. Those people didn’t like him at all.

Rubio never ran in my territory, I did not vote for Rubio.

Primaries are the ideal place in principle to fix this kind of thing. It’s easy to curse the darkness. Who’s lighting candles?

So rather than address the issue you get philosophical? You will vote for whatever the GOP puts up right? Jeb. Christie. A true blue RINO rather than a third party conservative. Just to “Win”. And to hell with principles.

True or false?

The best way I’ve heard is somehow a conservative gets elected under the Republican banner and then dumps the GOP after the midterms and runs third party for reelection. The thinking that alot of conservatives would rather vote for the president against the democrat than vote for now a now outside-party-looking-in being the GOP especially if the conservative wins reelection

Another faux conservative bites the dust

We seem so needy of a spokesman that we latch on to any politician that can put together two sentences with out making a gaff.

Rubio is articulate to be sure, but listen to all the flowery speech and see if you can figure out what his real agenda is. Hard isn't it, because he speaks of compromise always.

SAY, didn't the fabulous BRAINY BEAUTY Ann COULTER just use that very same term in her now famous immigration dressing down of grover norquist lately on Larry Kudlow's show? Why yes indeed i believe SHE did do that...check out her brilliant tour de force....as Ann covers all base in her 'straightin' out' of these 2...OUTSTANDING!

kabumpo,

Do you have a quick summary or a link to what Rubio said?

I didn't know he lied about it.

I knew his parents skedaddled to Miami a couple years before Castro took power, though.

Hate to say it, but Rubio is an idiot on this issue. They’re not being held here against their will. They are not slaves.

I agree with you. There are certainly things I like about Rubio, but I am kind of less and less impressed with him as time goes by.

I have worked my hiney off for the TEA party. I don’t see many positive results so far.

I would love to see a third party blossom, but it ain’t a happening thing.

I respect your suggestion about the lesser of two evils being the reason there is no third party...but I fear the real reason is apathy.

Yes, I am discouraged.

I already know Rubio from Florida politics. Met him several times. The Tea Party was instrumental in getting him elected. It's very true. When most of the liberal media here in South Florida pounded him about his excessive spending habits while using the state's charge card for his own personal uses; among a few other things, those attacks hurt him badly. The TP groups walked the neighborhoods for him, stayed long hours on the phones for him, giving out fliers, getting supporters to rallies on and on / giving donations so he could run local ads. You know, like supporters helping Toomey- now look what's he done to those same Pennsylvanians.

He has made his choice to go Gop-e. He used the TP; now he's in with the good ole boys it seems. He's likable so they used him to get to the people they need (open your minds, we need reforms) True, but not this Schumer bill. For awhile, I thought Rubio was being set up, so Jeb could be the one set in motion. Jeb Bush practically ran Bush's 2nd term as Rove was defending himself in that Valerie Plame/CIA leak case; fearing jail. Rove was even missing daily meetings at the WH. I really believe Jeb was in the middle standing in. We see what he can do. I hope they do not push Jeb on us now Rubio is pushing amnesty forgiveness. I know we need to redo our immigration but not this bill with those lobbyists' groups getting what they want.
