OK serious question. Can someone please explain to me why Freepers are still thinking this guy is a conservative, or better yet, actively campaigning against him? Folks, he is pushing an amnesty bill. It does not get any more liberal and country destroying than that.
If conservatism now accepts this kind of treachery and can excuse it then what is the point of being a conservative at all?

Thanks for confirming what I have come to believe, that Marco Rubio is nothing but a RINO, and likely worse, a full-blown Democrat. Hopefully, he will have a little integrity, fess up, and change from R to D in the next election.

We have some conservatives and Freepers that are easily duped when even the so-called conservative media presents the next shiny thing....we had some here slobbering over Chris Christie not too long ago before their eyes were finally open. Rubio had been presented as a rising star and a tea party hero repeatedly that its ingrained in some conservatives that he’s the one to lead them
On the campaigning thing I was more alluding to people carrying his water on right wing websites more than an actual campaign. But I imagine there WILL be those saying the same crap that ‘he is better than a Dem...Really?

this new immigration bill is 1500 pages the equivalent of an immigration Obamacare that of course will grow government, give amnesty to illegals, and let 100 million more of their relatives in.
look people the problem is these laws, gov creates a problem as the 1965 immigration act another law created this illegal and 3rd world immigration problem , so they say let’s fix immigration so then we get an even worse monster to add to our troubles, more gov, another 1500 page law which is not the answer. the answer is to repeal the 1965 immigration act as repealing Obamacare is

There doesn’t seem to be a viable third party at this point. If something comes up that changes that, I’m on board.

People like Rubio, people with an Hispanic background, almost always have a vision problem when it comes to immigration.
They may sound quite reasonable or conservative on other concerns but when it comes to immigration they become inconsistent.
It’s too bad because Rubio did seem to hold conservative positions on other issues.
But I am glad he revealed his true beliefs at this early stage.
