I voted for Romney for only one reason, he was strong on illegal immigration. I am a hawk one this issue. I am almost with Ann Coulter (single issue voter) on this. I would like the border secured, fenced where necessary, and the laws enforced. So far Paul is the only one of note that is close to my position. You seem to think he is lying, I don't.

First of all, you aren't as strong as you think you are.

The fence needs to be along the complete border, not just portions, but the complete border.

Secondly, since there are no real specifics on border security, just comments supporting the idea of a border fence or strengthening security, you have no real idea about how strong Rand Paul really is.

Lastly, I know Rand Paul is lying. He is granting an Amnesty by legalizing millions of Illegals who have practiced ID Fraud with no penalties, no jail time, which is required for Felonies like ID Fraud. Rand Paul is still stating that Normalization is not Amnesty, and yet anyone being honest about this knows that it is.

You're not being honest with yourself.

Well Pauls’ plan (really an out line of a plan) will never see the light of day in the Senate. So arguing over it is pointless. I will be interested in seeing how he votes on the gang of 8 plan in the Senate. That is where the real battle over amnesty will happen. I think he will vote against it, he certainly has not signed on to it and appears to be doing all he can to stop it.

Oh, and one more thing, if Rand Paul really wants the laws enforced, then why is he not pushing for the enforcement portions of Reagan's Amnesty to be enforced, right now?

You know the part where Employers are punished for hiring Illegals?

Why is he not pushing to have deportation laws enforced to the maximum, right now?

Why is he not pushing to have ID Fraud felonies punished to the maximum, right now?

These are all part of the rule-set that are current law, right now.

Once again, Rand Paul is a liar.

Well, as I have posted elsewhere, where Rand is doing the right thing, we need to praise him, and where he is doing the wrong thing, like his current Amnesty Plan, we need to fight like hell against him.

So, if he votes against the Rubio Amnesty, he will have my thanks, but he needs to drop the his own Amnesty plan and get back to his old positions on Illegal Immigration.

"First of all, you aren't as strong as you think you are.

And where were you when I was begging people not to vote for Bush in the primaries? I told everyone that would listen that Bush was a liberal and would do nothing about illegal immigration or big spending or reducing the size of government. If you voted Bush you voted amnesty.

If he votes for the gang of 8 plan, I will never say a nice thing about him again.

I hear you.

For me, it was lack of information. He was real quite about this leading up to the 2000 election and the hardening of my position on this issue and the recognition of the serious of this issue and the hard it would do was still forming in my mind.

Both of these reasons are why I am so vocal about Rand Paul NOW.

His pretense on this issue has to be uncovered continuously and to as many people as possible. I do not want a repeat of GWB. Neither my party nor my country can stand the effects of Amnesty.

Since about 27 percent of Latinos and Hispanics voted Republican, please explain how adding 11 million new voters of that ethnicity to the rolls will change the calculus.

We'll wait.
