Americans 'snapping' by the millions ( record fear, stress, suicide)

Terrorism. Chaos. Fear of the future. In the age of Obama, America is undergoing a “fundamental transformation” – that much everyone knows.

But what few seem to realize about this transformation is that the sheer stress of living in today’s America is driving tens of millions to the point of illness, depression and self-destruction. Consider the following trends:

Suicide has surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of injury death for Americans. Even more disturbing, in the world’s greatest military, more U.S. soldiers died last year by suicide than in combat;

Fully one-third of the nation’s employees suffer chronic debilitating stress, and more than half of all “millennials” (18 to 33 year olds) experience a level of stress that keeps them awake at night, including large numbers diagnosed with depression or anxiety disorder.

Shocking new research from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that one in five of all high-school-aged children in the United States has been diagnosed with ADHD, and likewise a large new study of New York City residents shows, sadly, that one in five preteens – children aged six to 12 – have been medically diagnosed with either ADHD, anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder;

New research concludes that stress renders people susceptible to serious illness, and a growing number of studies now confirm that chronic stress plays a major role in the progression of cancer, the nation’s second-biggest killer. The biggest killer of all, heart disease, which causes one in four deaths in the U.S., is also known to have a huge stress component;

Incredibly, 11 percent of all Americans aged 12 and older are currently taking SSRI antidepressants – those highly controversial, mood-altering psychiatric drugs with the FDA’s “suicidality” warning label and alarming correlation with school shooters.

Obama is powerless to affect me in any meaningful way.

I have the same basic philosophy as you. I do not give my enemies or anybody else for that matter any power over me whatsoever. I rely on my own self for my health, prosperity and happiness.

Were this the case, and the gun control measures had passed, then American's by the millions would find the DHS stopping by to relieve them of their fire arms ... Don't forget that according to the liberals, "up" is now "down", "wrong" is now "right", and the traditional God-fearing Constitution-loving patriot is now a "domestic terrorist".

That’s just it. Those pioneers had hope. Hope that if they got to their destination, if disease didn’t take them, if the natives didn’t kill them, life would be better. They didn’t have to worry about their own government putting them in jail if they dug a well, or drained a swamp, or defended their land, or didn’t give half their earnings to the taxman.

What do you do when hope is gone?

Translation....... American women, inherently unstable and unmarried have lost it. Unable to have it all and knowing self esteem is a false goal they are falling apart. Their recourse, the daddy state can not deliver.

Woe is them, woe is them, loser ,loser , loser.

Public Schools are to blame: Bell tells you when to sit. Bell tells you when to stand. Bell tells you when to shiite. Bell, bell, bell. All this in a highly controlled, highly protected and predictable environment. Text books organize every lesson into predictable little bites. End of section quizzes are predicatively included in end of chapter tests. End of chapter test questions are included in finals.

Every thing is neat, easy, wrapped in a bow. Stress is whether or not you are late for the bus. We are a nation of people who expect everything to be safe, easy and predictable. When that doesn’t happen... MELTDOWN

I almost snapped yesterday. I locked my keys, my cell phone, my purse and all my money AND my dog in my car. I almost lost it. Really, it was awful!

Worrying about anything else? Not so much.

Learning how to manage stress and increase resilience during times of economic depression or hardship is important. Honestly I don’t know anyone who voted the right way that are simply too unbalanced to accept life when it smacks them around.

Well personally, I'm better off than I ever have been. I paid off my debts, built up a savings account, learned to be happy with what I have, and discovered several authors whose work is new to me, and who keep me happy.

But Obama did not do any of these things for me. I did them.

Yep, you nailed it. Everyone is crying over hangnails apparently unaware of how lucky and rich (yes, rich) they are compared to their ancestors.

It’s ridiculous how upset and worried people are about really trivial and superficial bullcarp, yet have no clue and no skills in the event things really go sideways.

Suicide has surpassed car crashes as the leading cause of injury death for Americans.

Classic example of misuse of statistics. Suicide rates have been remarkably stable since the 50s. Indeed the male suicide rate per 100k in 2005 was identical to that of 1950: 17.7.

The female rate, however, doubled in that period, but is still WAY below the male rate.

The reason we now have more suicide deaths than auto crash deaths is because crash deaths have gone down, despite many more total miles driven, while suicide rates have remained the same.

in all honesty I think its turned many people from just a flickering candle to virtual spotlights and laser beams of directive energies.

people were in most willing to accept Muslims, not anymore, all I hear is questions of where are any locally and how can we get rid of them.

And how to keep it that way, free from Islamic infiltrators.
