FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011
BBC News ^ | 20 Apr 2013 | Mr Radical

Posted on 04/20/2013 2:52:23 AM PDT by Mr Radical

"The FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011 after a request from a foreign government, US law enforcements officials have confirmed. But agents closed the case after finding no cause for concern.

In an interview on Russian television, the mother of the two suspects said the FBI had been in contact with her son for several years.

It is not known which country made the request, but the BBC's Paul Adams in Washington says it is likely to have come from the Russians."
. . .
"Analysis
We may know the names of the suspects in the Boston marathon attacks and also much about their lives, but the question of why they did it remains elusive. Recollections of friends and family, as well as the digital data trail people now leave on social media, means we can get a picture of a young brother who seemed to be a well-adjusted student."

Just ask yourself, what if Bush was in the White House... how would this story have played out?

Wouldn't it have been wall-to-wall FAILED this and FAILED that?

Obama's regime will surely get a pass, even get a bounce out of this.

Compare to W, 9/11 and his administration's "failure" to act on non-specific Al Queda threats.

The gross incompetence by the FBI is in keeping with the rest from the CIA and NSA when it comes to terrorism:

Beirut
Khobar Tower bombings
African embassy bombings
USS Cole
WTC I
9-11
Bhenghazi

Ever recall of heads rolling of their stupidity?

I think Obama will have more difficulty sweeping this one under the rug than Benghazi.

This is the history that may never be told. There will be no congressional hearings or committees, such as we saw in the aftermath of 9-11 when the Dems tried to pin responsibility on the Republican administration.

The liberal hypocrites are charging him under Federal law not MA law and may seek the death penalty in a State where it is banned.

Please help me exposed the liberal hypocrisy by pointing this fact out!

The FBI had this guy in their system.

How is it they had multiple photos of him at the Marathon and yet were unable to match him up with their face recognition software? He should have popped right up, especially as he was living nearby. These were good pictures and lots of them. It should have been a slam dunk!

Another thing. There must have been scores of people in the area at home watching the pictures on the TV who knew one and likely both of these guys and should have been dialing 911 within seconds of the pictures being released.

"Hey, I know that guy! That's my roommate/classmate/soccer buddy/boxing partner/husband/son-in-law... and that's his brother!""

Given that probability, how come nobody fingered them and it was hours later and these guys were still on the loose until they panicked, murdered the MIT cop, and went on the run? They should have been in custody within the hour from the number of people who knew them and saw the pictures. Yet, apparently there were no tips the authorities were pursuing.

Weren't the police and FBI answering their phones or were they just so overwhelmed?

Reminds me of the scene in ‘Skyfall’ when Bond asked Patrice “Where’s the list?” before Patrice fell from a skyscraper to his death. It appears that the same will be asked of the Teen Terrorist...

And yet we continue to throw money at them.

Conservatives must accept that government failure extends to law enforcement as well.

I hate the fact that some on our side will use this to argue for bigger budgets for these incompetent Federal agencies and more of a police state.

This is the Benghazi sickness all over again. terrorism simply wasn’t a possibility; the president fixed that with his obamagastic international apology tour.

And if terrorism is “fixed”, then terrorists don’t exist.

Are there reasons why the U.S. Government has stood by watched tens of millions enter our country illegally?

Are there reasons why the U.S. Government allowed hundreds of thousands of Muslims into the U.S., during and after wars in Muslim countries?

Why do our immigration policies allow for this after 911 and other events?

It seems clear, the U.S. government is attempting to create additional security problems in the U.S.

What is motive for this?

funny how Obama and his sidekicks and cult oppose the death penalty but when stuff happens in their back yards they now want the death penalty and then they use fed law and not state law.

I winder if those there would say the same and support death for him if this happened in lets say MS?

Hypocrites yet again

#42 More intelligence failures

* Murder of CIA station chief Welch in Greece
* Murder of CIA station chief in Beirut and murder of US member of UN team (A Colonel, possibly Miller)
* Bombing of the US embassy in Beirut
* Hijacking of the Achilles Laurel (partial failure)
* Rise of Hezbollah
* Rise of Hamas
* Drug and weapons smuggling in and thru Bekka Valley by Hezbollah, Syrians, Amal militia, etc in Lebanon
* Fall of the Shah of Iran
* Complete control of the Sandinista factions by various communists/marxists (not one of the 9 top commandantes was a non-communist, but you’d never know that if you read the New York Times and the Washington Post).
* North Korean atomic bomb program surprises
* Syrian nuclear and bio/chemical secret plants bombed by Israel
* Iran’s whole damned nuclear program
* Failure to release information on known Syrian and Iranian operations/operatives in both Iraq and Afghanistan

I could go on all night.
