Chechen president: ‘Seek the roots of this evil in America,’ where Tsarnaevs were raised

The statement of Ramzan Kadyrov, Kremlin-backed president of Chechenya, blames the Tsarnaevs’ American upbringing for their actions and criticizes law enforcement for killing Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a shootout Thursday night:

“Tragic events have taken place in Boston. A terrorist attack killed people. We have already expressed our condolences to the people of the city and to the American people. Today, the media reports, one Tsarnaev was killed as [police] tried to arrest him. It would be appropriate if he was detained and investigated, and the circumstances and the extent of his guilt determined. Apparently, the security services needed to calm down the society by any means necessary,” says Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov.

“Any attempt to draw a connection between Chechnya and Tsarnaevs — if they are guilty — is futile. They were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America. The whole world must struggle against terrorism — that we know better than anyone else. We hope for the recovery of all the victims, and we mourn with the Americans.”

The statement was apparently released on Instagram.

Update: Or, there were these influences. Dave Weigel reports on the muftis and other Islamic/Salafist leaders the bombers quoted.

My favorite city in the area is Rostov On Don, which I think the new rebuilt Grozny was patterned after.

President Ramzan Kadyrov is not far off the mark. It can not be denied that hatred of America and American way of life (political & social) is taught to our children throughout their years in public schools and in colleges and universities afterward.

"Hate America" is preached in houses of worship, proclaimed in the halls of congress, reported in our "free press" and stated in words and deeds by the occupant of the oval office and his wife.

Those are the facts, yet I know that I will get flamed by those that are in denial and by being in denial are facilitators!

The root = America’s immigration laws and their lack of enforcement.

One has to also consider that in the 21st century, with the internet, videos and all other forms of communication, you can live anywhere and be radicalized from OVERSEAS.

Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev Inspired by Radical Muslim Preacher

Feiz Mohammad, the radical preacher cited by dead Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is a former boxer who blames women for being raped and called for a prominent Dutch politician to be beheaded.

Widely known as ‘Sheikh Feiz’, the preacher was born in Australia circa 1970-1 but fled to Lebanon, the homeland of his parents, eight years ago after becoming one of the world’s most controversial Islamic lecturers.

He has been investigated by Australian police for inciting violence and terrorism, and was even captured on a British TV documentary encouraging children to become martyrs for Islam six years ago.

Feiz has been described by some as Australia’s most dangerous sheikh, because of the number of connections he holds to known terrorists.

Although it is not known whether the hardline sheikh has any direct links to Al-Qaeda, he has regularly broadcast sermons from the group’s spiritual leader, Anwar al-Awlaki, on his website.

He’s partially right. The younger one did receive a substantial bit of his upbringing here in the USA. The older one, though, was at least 16 when he arrived in the USA.

RE: How long has the naturalized Citizen been living here?

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older brother (now dead) was not a U.S. citizen but was a green card holder. He has lived in the US since he was 16 ( he is now 26 ).

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (born July 22, 1993) the younger brother, at the time of the incident, was a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a major in marine biology.

Like his brother, he has been living here for 10 years as a permanent resident.

He became a naturalized U.S. citizen on September 11, 2012.

He is scum. His defensiveness and insinuations prove he’s our enemy. Let’s parlay this common ground we share with the Russians into some geo-political gain.

Just for the record...these two men both born and raised in Chechnya?

I am wondering what the motive could be for a Chechen born and raised in Chechnya to come to American and attack us this way?

Do any Chechen terrorist groups have a particular beef against the USA.

Wow, the guy learned to hate America at the same school that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon did!
