Chechen president: ‘Seek the roots of this evil in America,’ where Tsarnaevs were raised

The statement of Ramzan Kadyrov, Kremlin-backed president of Chechenya, blames the Tsarnaevs’ American upbringing for their actions and criticizes law enforcement for killing Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a shootout Thursday night:

“Tragic events have taken place in Boston. A terrorist attack killed people. We have already expressed our condolences to the people of the city and to the American people. Today, the media reports, one Tsarnaev was killed as [police] tried to arrest him. It would be appropriate if he was detained and investigated, and the circumstances and the extent of his guilt determined. Apparently, the security services needed to calm down the society by any means necessary,” says Chechen president Ramzan Kadyrov.

“Any attempt to draw a connection between Chechnya and Tsarnaevs — if they are guilty — is futile. They were raised in the United States, and their attitudes and beliefs were formed there. It is necessary to seek the roots of this evil in America. The whole world must struggle against terrorism — that we know better than anyone else. We hope for the recovery of all the victims, and we mourn with the Americans.”

The statement was apparently released on Instagram.

Update: Or, there were these influences. Dave Weigel reports on the muftis and other Islamic/Salafist leaders the bombers quoted.

The YouTube account belonging to "Tamerlan Tsarnaev" has held up under scrutinity, and Eli Lake has pored through the dead suspect's favorites and likes to create a picture of his influences. There are plenty of links to sermons from Feiz Mohammad, "a former boxer of Lebanese descent who now preaches an extreme version of Sunni Islam known as Salafism," and who, like Tamerlan, was a boxer:
In 2007 Mohammed came under fire for a series of messages that called on young Muslims to become holy warriors. Three years later, the Dutch press reported that Mohammad had called for the beheading of Gert Wilders, a Dutch politician who has compared radical Islam to Nazi ideology.

The specific videos favored by Tamerlan, though—they're all over the map.

Just once, I'd love to see a reporter nail one of these idiots who Monday morning quarterback, forcing them to reply to the question: What would you have done differently during the shootout? Or ‘How does your country deal with armed terrorists on the run?’

Though, honestly, I think he said these words for domestic consumption, trying not to embolden his own jihadists again.

Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov (Russian: Рамза́н Ахма́дович Кады́ров, Chechen: Къадар АхIмат-кIант Ръамазан; born 5 October 1976) is the Head of the Chechen Republic and a former Chechen rebel.

Ramzan is a son of former Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov, who was assassinated in May 2004. In February 2007, Kadyrov replaced Alu Alkhanov as President, shortly after he had turned 30, which is the minimum age for the post. He has the support of current Russian President Vladimir Putin and was awarded the Hero of Russia medal, the highest honorary title of Russia. Kadyrov was engaged in violent power struggles; with Chechen government warlords Sulim Yamadayev and Said-Magomed Kakiev for overall military authority, and with Alu Alkhanov for political authority.

As Head of Chechnya, Kadyrov has been credited for bringing peace and stability to the region.[citation needed] On the other hand, he has come under heavy criticism from the international press and Russia, due to alleged corruption and human rights violations.

Ramzan Kadyrov is an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (Российская Академия Естественных Наук, not to be confused with the Russian Academy of Sciences)

BS! America has ALWAYS been a Judeo-Christian nation until Obama came along and the retarded 'RATS followed along like he was the pied piper. Jihad is not an American "attitude and belief", Dipstick!

The School where these terrorists went to, Cambridge Rindge and Latin, is probably one of America’s MOST DIVERSE schools.

So diverse that the Principal even boasted that they have students who come from 83 different countries.

Among their graduates are academy award winners — Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

The USA gave thousands of this jackasses people refugee status when HE couldn’t take care of them! We have to stop babysitting people who hate us! THEY don’t want to be citizens, the just want to use us, then insult or kill us!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3009500/posts

The Bush State Dept gave refugee status to the bombers family, probably throught USAID, and WHO worked for them....

[snip]Without a doubt, Grover Norquist’s team has infiltrated USAID’s lucrative contract whirl.

In April of 2005, the respected scholar Daniel Pipes asked “Is Grover Norquist an Islamist?” Grover’s November 2004 marriage to the Muslim Samah Alrayyes reveals an insider at USAID in the Bush years. Samah Norquist’s bio is an indictment of Grover Norquist’s designs on USAID contract information. Samah was the Public Affairs Specialist for Arab and Muslim outreach at the Bureau of Legislative and Public Affairs at USAID:

In her position, she works on developing and implementing communications and public affairs planning with regard to various Muslim and Arab outreach issues including USAID activites in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle and Near East and many parts of the Muslim world where AID is present. This includes serving as a liaison with Muslim and Arab American interest groups to brief them on USAID activities in the developing world and coordination of the Agency’s participation in events, conferences, and discussions designed to educate the publics about American foreign assistance.

Notably, Samah Norquist served on the board of the Islamic Free Enterprise Institute along with Khaled Saffuri. And for those, like Cleta Mitchell, who are willfully blind to the activities of Grover Norquist on the Shariah Compliant front and possible connections with Muslim Brotherhood operations in the tiers of the non-profit industry, it should be noted that a third operative of the Alamoudi stripe has made it big in the world of USAID.
