To which I'll add: two undeclared wars, both of which will eventually end like the Vietnam War did.

Legacies are not about actions forward in time. Bush did not bring us Obozo. That was the result of a completely inept GOP, which has become more inept since.

No, sir. It's the mantra of the Constitution. After 9/11, Bush should have asked for a declaration of war. 9/11 was our December 7th.

But Bush was more interested in nation-building than in crushing radical islam. Result: Afganistan = Vietnam repeated.

RE :”To which I'll add: two undeclared wars, both of which will eventually end like the Vietnam War did. “

Yes, I was a Bush-bot in 2003 foolishly telling friends that he know what he was doing.

It wasnt till late 2006 after that election loss and Bush suddenly realizes that Iraq is going badly and suddenly demands surge funding from the New Pelosi house to fix it that I realized what a curse his presidency would be, then I got to painfully watch it play out for another two long years.

Even after that 2008 election I got some grief here for pointing this out, but I met many good friends here in the process too.

There was a declaration! Congress signed off on both Afghanistan and Iraq. What more do you want with respect to both of these being legal wars? As far as Afghanistan becoming “Vietnam”, that is attributable to Obozo.

So it was all the GOP’s in congress fault, but not the GOP POTUS who was their leader.

Are you consistent and give O the free pass too?

Obviously not.

I have my issues with GW though I hope we Never have another leader as Barrack Hussein Obama. At times, I miss GW when he was not acting like a compassionate liberal. I do not respect marxist Obama, communist Carter and those trashy Clintons.

Bush was unable to run in 2008. That put the onus on the GOP to bring forth a candidate that could match up against Obozo. Instead, we were given McLame. That was not under the control of Bush. I’ve heard enough from the liberals the past 6+ years about how everything is Bush’s fault. It isn’t necessary to read it on FR too.

I still feel strongly that bush was a great president.

The refusal to defend him is the root of our problems. We allow the mediators to destroy the image of good leaders.

We play along as if we will gain the favor of independents. We won’t.

People in Britain celebrated thatchers death. Bush is hated.

Making enemies is a sign of character.
