FAA warns of 3.5 hour flight delays this summer (Make them feel the pain)

Flight delays of up to 3-1/2 hours are expected at some busy U.S. airports this summer because of furloughs of air-traffic controllers, the top U.S. aviation regulator warned on Thursday.

The estimate from the Federal Aviation Administration is the first to detail, in minutes and hours, the potential delays from the agency's decision to furlough 10 percent of its staff, starting Sunday, as it struggles to meet budget cuts required under so-called sequestration.

Other groups, including the air-traffic controller's union, have warned of potentially long delays and reduced capacity to handle airplanes, which could force airlines to cut flights.

But in contrast to those warnings, the FAA estimates were based on complex models that took into account different runways and tower configurations at numerous busy airports.

Returning to George Bush in Houston two weeks ago from S. America:

1. Three customs gates open to “citizens” with a line that seemed miles long
2. Two customs gates open to aliens with only short line
3. SIX customs agents in the fish bowl office shooting the crap.

Me trying to stir up the sheeple with little effect.

Will the sheeple ever realize what is being done to them? Will they ever get pissed off?

A 4% cut that seems to have the kinetic energy of a 25% cut.

Picking and choosing to cut the things that hurt the most Americans.

We have a real a-hole running this country.

I thought this was about the TSA Gropers. They get paid through our INSANE ticket charges...so there should be NO SHORTAGE of gropers when it’s time to fly.

In local politics there is the age old idea of shutting down the library first (in the pre http world). The theory is that those who make most use of the library have the highest propensity to write letters to the editor and complain.

No. No. No. There was NO cut. It was a reduction in the rate of growth.

Picking and choosing to cut the things that hurt the most Americans.

We have a real a-hole running this country.

Don't disagree with the rest, except to make a-hole plural.

How about applying the sequester "cuts" to the TSA instead of the air traffic controllers ?

After all, the TSA goons have less to do now, since they don't have to inspect for knives anymore.
