72 Congressmen slam media for failing to cover Gosnell, Planned Parenthood infanticide remarks
WASHINGTON, D.C., April 18, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In a sternly worded letter, 72 congressman have accused the three leading mainstream media networks – ABC, NBS, and CBS – of “blatant media bias” for failing to cover two of the biggest abortion-related stories in recent years: the trial of “House of Horrors” abortionist Kermit Gosnell, and remarks made by a Planned Parenthood representative in support of infanticide.
“The broadcasters’ blackout of the Planned Parenthood infanticide lobbying scandal and the Gosnell ‘House of Horrors’ murder trial are the biggest and most politically-motivated media cover-ups in our nation’s history,” said Rep. Marsha Blackburn, who led the group of 72 legislators.
The trial of Kermit Gosnell, who stands accused of murdering seven newborn infants by snipping their spinal cords, has been ongoing since the middle of last month. Testimony has featured former staff and victims presenting gruesome details about conditions inside Gosnell's "House of Horrors" clinic.

The other day or something the Dallas paper ran an editorial declaring that the trial is not about abortion.
I am sure many regular readers were confused, wondering what trial it was referring to. First many heard of it I reckon.
One of the central arguments liberals have for legal abortion is that we can’t go back to coat hangers in alleys. How about torture and mass murder in the “safe and legal” clinic? How many mothers resorted to using coat hangers to kill their children? It sounds like an urban myth. The Planned Parenthood kill factory of modern day is no myth.
These liberals condemn animal cruelty because animals are helpless. Yet they kill babies on demand.
Its a right of passage for them.
I have seen numbers on this, but don't have the info at hand at the moment.
Suffice it to say that the number of women who resorted to "coat hanger" abortions was hugely exaggerated by Planned Parenthood, NARAL etc.
Sadly, the Left gets away with made-up numbers all the time. I remember when "homeless" advocates fabricated laughably absurd numbers during the Reagan years; and rain forest zealots so inflated the number of acres of jungle cut down every year, that if their claim had been true, the entire world would have been deforested in only a few months.
And back to the issue of "safe and legal abortion" ... pro-aborts appear to have forgotten that abortion was legal, pre-Roe v Wade, if the mother's life was in danger. It's true that in most states, a medical board would have to hear the case first; but that was a prudent measure, given the gravity of the decision to use a medical doctor to end a child's life -- a concept that was commonly understood at the time.
While that my be true, consider this.
This all started over TWO YEARS AGO with the GRAND JURY HEARING. One of the (un)licensed doctors working under Gosnell has already been convicted of murder.
The MEDIA did print it, did report it.
THE PUBLIC MERELY BLINKED, and has ignored it for over two years.
Add to that the fact that this clinic operated UNDER THOSE CONDITIONS for 30 YEARS.
So...where does the responsibility for evil truly lie ?
The real truth is that this 'case' has been ongoing for over two years and it is only because it got to the phase where the goriest of details came out that the media 'declined' to cover it.
Agreed, the abortion movement never had anything to do with the mothers life being in jeopardy it was always about having unrestricted infanticide all along. It is an evil that gets vigorous approval from the evil and tacit approval from the brainwashed masses.
