The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Please don’t make me watch him. What’d he say??
It’s crazy, because Obama usually never politicizes any sort of tragedy. He’s always focused and circumspect. Maybe this was just a bad day for our beloved President.
Did he take an offering for campaign cash?
This memorial takeover for effect stuff started with the Clintons and some guy from Minnesota. Can’t remember his name.
That was probably to make up for his temper tantrum after the fine swine bill failed yesterday.
He was trying to have his Bush moment but they couldn’t get the fire truck thru the church doors.
the Paul Wellstone funeral is just WHO these people are at heart.
Americans Spirits? United We Stand?
Thank you! Wellstone, that’s it.
Did Obama bring the Sandy Hook victims with him to Boston? Using suffering parents as props is sick...
I will paraphrase: "blah blah blah blah blah blah"
This is so pathetic it’s funny. There’s the door, O. You just open it and step out. Nobody will stop you. Here’s your hat, what’s your hurry??
I don't much remember Clinton, but definitely Kennedy's (and others) foulness.
Boston is myah home, me, me, I, me, .....
Totally inappropriate tone for this guy to take. Cheery pep-rally deal, replete with numerous sports references. Almost like he’s making light of the events in Boston.
Private plane crash.
“Other pilots at the charter company told NTSB that pilot Richard Conry and first officer (co-pilot) Michael Guess both displayed below average flying skills. “
LOL.......oh how I LOL’d. Thanks, I needed that.
Will ya do it? Will ya do it?. Win it for Paul!
Watching 0 speak = waterboarding
Yet totally expected!
I meant what happened at the Wellstone funeral. ;-)
Sen. Tom Harkin in revivalist preacher mode was pretty nauseating, too.
0bama is just as evil as that one. IMO.
Ole BJ was in fine form.
Nothing, but the people need to hear optimism so that's fine but how about those poor Americans who died at Benghazi because of a ----up from both Obama and Hillary...what about those people? Kerry says to move on....NOT ON YOUR LIFE BOZO!
How to mourn with dignity to the fallen:
Why pray tell do we as a nation and our media have to make every crisis about everything
My tears welled up listening about the dead child and the dead young woman...as a parent of many..it's hard to hear that
But while I feel so much empathy I do not need to be a part of it.
We do this now with evertyhting..
I know we did not do this with every WWII setback or horror or after Korea or Vietnam or national tragedies back then
I recall Vietnam horrors...Hamburger Hill or Hue or the A Shau..we didn't have memorial services on TV for pols and interfaith religious services broadcast by Walter or Chet or David or Roger or Eric
or after Hurricane Camille which i was in...there was none of that nationwide...no Bruce Springsteen running to make a splash
this sort of stuff about memorializing for closure every tragedy is a sign of a weak culture
bent on accommodation and instant relief rather than a sound course of victory
That’s exactly the way....
Obama didn’t “share” their pain.....(It was after all a Memorial Service for the victims)....he completely side-stepped that fact and ushered in a Pep-Rally complete with the audiance rising to their feet in celebration.
The Piper played..and they danced.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Shout out to UMass and my BC posse! Umm, you know, I was telling Michelle, for an explosive team, those Red Sox really bombed last night! And let me be clear: those Celtics, they lower the boom! And make no mistake: I always have a blast watchin' the Patriots!"
Like that, sorta?
I didn’t hear Obama mention any victims.
Just mimicking the Right Reverend Wright.
That’s a common misconception. It wasn’t done at Wellstone’s funeral. It WAS done at a public memorial service, but of course that doesn’t excuse the behavior. It was just liberals being their usual classless, boorish selves.
I will say this: I was no fan of Jesse Ventura as our governor, but he did one thing right during his term. During that ridiculous pep rally that night, he got up and walked off the stage.
“Let me be clear blah blah blah blah blah blah.
“Make no mistake blah blah < insert cliche >
“Corpse man blah blah blah blah,
“Let us blah blah blah blah blah blah
“Reach across the aisle blah blah blah blah blah blah “
Once again I call upon blah blah blah blah blah blah
These are not Democratic or Republican values. Theyre American values blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah blah blah blah blah Thank you, and God Bless America
Perhaps it’s because of Sequestration, but at this democrat rally, Obama failed to hand out or sell T-shirts.
The ribbons, bunnies and balloons are trite, superficial offerings.
Private, silent prayer in somber reflection would be far more appropriate - but this is the age of exhibitionism and excess - regardless of the occasion.
And the leading from behind continues.
Sen. Wellstone was a Liberal Democrat, but by all accounts, a decent human being who deserved far more dignity and decorum at his memorial.
Believe it or not, I knew Paul Wellstone. I agreed with him on exactly nothing in a political sense but you are right to state that he was a good man (except in his first election campaign against Rudy Boschwitz).
He’d never get my vote but that didn’t stop him from being nice on a personal basis. You’re quite right — he and his wife, who was also memorialized that night, deserved some dignified treatment.
Wellstone was a senator and Vice President Cheney was President of the Senate, but he was warned it was not safe for him to attend the rally for Wellstone.
Paul Wellstone (D) from Minnesota.
Did he give out T-shirts like he did at the Giffords trage-rally?
