"Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough reamed into Senate Republicans and four Democrats who voted against the passage of a bill expanding background checks.
Particularly targeting Republicans, Scarborough said that the party was "moving toward extinction."
"You do not ignore 90 percent of the American people on an issue of public safety," Scarborough said, citing poll numbers that consistently showed nine in 10 respondents supporting the measure.
"Mark it down — this is going to be a turning point in the history of the Republican Party as well," he added. "And let those out there chattering, let them chatter away all they want to and scream like hyenas. Let them do what they want to do.
"This party that killed this background check yesterday — this party is moving toward extinction. A new Republican Party is going to replace it. And this is going to be a vote that people are going to look back on and say, 'That party — that extremism — that was unsustainable."
On Wednesday afternoon, the Senate failed to garner the 60 votes necessary to pass the measure. It drew an especially angry reaction from President Barack Obama, who made new gun legislation a key legislative goal of the start of his second term.

Joe, Instead of ranting about the devastating defeat Obama took yesterday....you should have questioned why POTUS Obama has not uttered one word about the devastating explosion in West, Texas. Shucks, even Pope Francis offered prayer and comfort this morning!!!
It’s just crazy. Most of the people posting their dislike of the failure of this bill have not even bothered to read below the fold. They hear Obama say, the NRA and Gun Rights Advocates lied. That’s why even Harry Reid, who initially said he’d vote his conscience, discovered the bill wouldn’t pass then voted against his conscience so it could be brought up again. Talk about filth bag!
Didn’t the recent Gallup poll show that only 6% of those polled cared about the gun issues? WOW it was really 90%? Riiiight. Background checks are already on the books. Order a firearm and it gets delivered to a FFL gun shop who then puts your name into the computer for a background check before you are allowed to take it. The magazine thing is also a joke, CA has it already, so if you want a large mag. you get one from out of state. I’m sure it can be arranged to get as many as you want from Tijuana too. What we have is a war against firearms like the war against drugs. Like most things in this world, money talks no one walks. Lets get our nation back to work, its more important than guns or same sex marriage.
These people don’t care what’s in it, they want guns banned, period. They don’t want so-called “common sense” gun laws.

Joe's angry that while the republican party is weak since they will not show opposition (by this current speaker), he cannot stand the fact that what happened yesterday will actually strength the republican party. If the republicans oppose immigration and support traditional marriage, we will be looking a meltdown of the left like we have never seen before. What drives Joe and his left friends is hatred. He reminds me of Bill Clinton in that photo. He may have gave a warning from his anger that he and his friends in the other party will not be so easy on immigration. They have to stack the deck to get more voter blocs. Gun control, is anti- gun rights as Reid let slip.

It pissed me off to no end this morning knowing that people died, people lost their houses, jobs, etc and this turd never bothered to mention it and instead of Mancin WV on talking about how the GOP are cowards, liars and the NRA will lose because of the 90%.
Well Joe that poll was done right after the shooting by a liberal org and we also don’t go by what polls say, we go by the constitution.

Gallop just released a poll showing only 4% even thought the gun control issue was important. So the 90% number is just typical left wing noise. They ask loaded questions that have no relationship to the real bill and what it will ultimately implement. Most people either realize that we have by far all the gun control we need or simply don’t really care. The issue isn’t with guns its with the character/morals of people who commit crimes with them. Our cities achieved homicide rates just as good or bad (depending on your perspective) as we have after 100 years of accumulated legal bureaucracy and gun control laws.
I watch this show only to see what the enemy is thinking and spreading!!
