U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Accused of Breaking Sharia Law
Posted By Raymond Ibrahim On April 18, 2013 @ 12:10 am In Daily Mailer,FrontPage | 6 Comments
The U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, is being accused of some outlandish behavior and remarks. Last week, several Egyptian papers and websites, including Al Dostor, reported that Dia al-Din al-Garahi, a human rights lawyer and president of the Justice Center for Freedoms and Media, submitted a complaint to the Attorney General accusing Patterson of libel and defamation of the Egyptian people and making statements that are likely to disturb society and threaten Egypts security.
According to Report 935 of the Attorney General, the American Ambassador, after drinking alcohol in contradiction to Islamic Sharia law, said that she rules Egypt and that the Egyptian people are under her authority, that she controls them like a puppet, and that the Egyptian people have no idea of what is transpiring around them.
The report further adds, citing one Dr. Latif Shaker, a Palestinian writer living in America, that the U.S. ambassador had earlier said that the Jews will return to Egypt in 2013 and that they are the masters of the earth; that Egypt will go bankrupt during this year and Egyptians will turn to the United States to save them from famine and poverty. The report further accuses Patterson of saying that the land of Egypt belongs to the Jews, for it was theirs originally, and that the Jews were kicked out of Egypt after building the pyramids and DNA analysis reveals that King Tut was a Jew.
Apparently the Palestinian Shakers claims were made earlier this year, for the following press release appears on the U.S. Embassy in Cairo website:
Statement on Falsehoods in the Media
Online and media reports claiming that the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, Anne W. Patterson, made statements to the website of the Israeli newspaper Maariv asserting that Israel has the right to Egyptian land are completely false. The Ambassador has never conducted an interview with Maariv and never made any of the reported statements. We encourage journalists to call our press office (which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to check the facts about U.S. Government policies, activities and statements before publishing stories about the United States.
Regardless, the accusationswhich certainly seem to fit the war is deceit paradigmhave now been formally filed with Egypts Attorney General and only time will tell what, if anything, will come of it in the new Egypt.
So even while they're lying, they are admitting to Bible prophecy, whether they know it or mean to.
Hey I know what to do. Give them 200 of the best tanks ever made.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
She looks like a surprised goat.
She’ll probably be raped and murdered and nothing will come of it. It will be blamed on a youtube movie.
Kerry will say to Congress: “What difference does it make?”
Maybe what she said was: Leftists rule America and that the American people are under their authority, that they control them like a puppet, and that the American people have no idea of what is transpiring around them.
By the way--do you suppose she could be a Democrat?
Dia al-Din al-Garahi, a human rights lawyer and president of the Justice Center for Freedoms /
I smell an oxymoron. ^
These people would be more believable if they had a conscience or a smidgen of knowledge concerning freedom or human rights.
Is she a long time State employee or a simple Obama appointee (i.e. Obama donor)?
Is the American national character turning into ‘The Guiding Light’?
Every single time I pick up the paper or read news anywhere, I see some idiot who is supposed to ‘represent’ ME behaving like an escaped lunatic or some f’n loud mouth jingoistic, half-wit that “O” has appointed in his perpetual effort to pay back campaign debts and de construct American exceptional ism!!
How dare they represent ME! How dare they go abroad and give the rest of the world the impression that I am some kind of f’n a$# hole!!!!
In the Arab world, rumors are the same as the truth. They will riot over this.
Not to worry!
Just continue to load them up with shiny new jets, tanks... obama phones...ebt cards...Kiss their a$$ more...
Soon they will eating out of 0bama’s hand!
Very soon!!! Any minute now.
Egypt’s Sharia Law comes from their Prophet, a documented Child Rapist.
She’s been a diplomat for quite a while, but..
“In May 2011 U.S. President Obama nominated Patterson to be the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt. On June 30, 2011, the United States Senate confirmed Patterson by unanimous consent to be the United States Ambassador to Egypt.”
So when you go to Egypt, you’re under Sharia law?? I don’t think hey weren’t under that under Mubarak.
They assure us that it only applies to Muslims, as if we believe that
Gee, hard to know who to believe here. The hate-America muzzies or the drinking female ambassador sent by the hate-America Obama. . what to do...what to do...
This would be out of character for any ambarrassador from the US regardless of whom sent her. IMO, it is a total falsehood planted to whip up sentiment against the US.
Just look at what was said and consider she is speaking for Obama? Anyone speaking for his eminence would have said Eqypt owns Israel, not the other way around.
Total BS IMO. This gives one an idea how smart our government has been giving these dung sitters weaponry above the level of a blow gun.
She’s an “O” appointee. What she does and says will always reflect on “O” and on us.
Making the US look bad, well... that’s the culture of this Administration... now matter how it is achieved.
That’s the way I took it.
2. They can make up whatever they want. We won’t contracdict them.
3. Sending a woman to be ambassador to a country run by the Muslim Brotherhood is as smart as sending an openly homosexual diplomat on a covert mission to a city that flies the Al Qaeda flag.
To hell with Sharia Law and the horse it rode in on.
Read my tagline.
I guess she’ll have to put on her burqa and have her husband drive her to court to answer their charges
We send a homosexual ambassador to Libya and a female to Egypt. Has she spoken out against the epidemic of rape against Egyptian women? No, guess not.
what can go wrong when we show so much western respect for fundamentalist “culture”?
maybe she ought to go walk arounbd Tahrir Square and talk to the people...
maybe she ought to go walk arounbd Tahrir Square and talk to the people...
I’m sure a prisoner exchange with the blind Sheik will resolve this. On second thought...NO!
Sounds like a typical State Department senior staffer, but unless her name happens to be Cleopatra I'm sort of skeptical.
What happened to “diplomatic immunity”?
These towel heads come over here and run people down with their cars, and get a free ticket home.
Send all these bugs back to their desert.
She didn’t have to go all the way to Egypt to get this kind of “human rights commission” abuse from a star chamber. All she had to do was enroll in any US college or university and claim to be a Christian.
Do we even need an Embassy in Egypt?
Its a rhetorical question - but on the other hand, do “relations” with Egypt matter one iota?
Egypt has NOTHING of interest to the USA - Little trade, no investment, no resources. They are a basket-case - who only have illiterate jihadies to offer the world. Their economy is likely going to get a lot worse as well. The only consideration is how much trouble they can make for Israel, and even then, I think they Israelis can handle Egypt fairly easily.
As an 0bama Administration Arrogant Pig she may have said/done all of that.
I wouldn’t necessarily believe the characterization of the Ambassadors opinion of Israel despite the fact that it comes from a palestinian living in America.
Yes, that's how you know they well be lying. But the local audience will believe all of it. Many of them over drinks.
Don't know, I don't know much about her. Other than she's a career diplomat, serving as Ambassador to places like El Salvador, Collumbia, Pakistan and interem to the UN under both GWB and Bubba. I don't know her politics, and doubt it's relevant. She drinks, after all.
No need, we've given them the manufacturing platforms, they can make them themselves.
No, though I acknowledge I'm not going to Egypt any time soon.
Doubt Obama donors stand in line for this position.
Ah, thank you so much for the info.
Thus I do not know how she feels about Israel, however, from the statements she apparently said it seems she is monre on Israel's side rather than the Arabs side. Of course we know Obama is not on Israel's side, but Bush was.
Also, I could find no evidence that she is of Pakistani descent, she merely served as Ambassador to Pakistan.
I agree, I don’t see anything here other than a career diplomat, who seems to be quite competant and apolitical.
