So the water torture awaiting the Department of Homeland Security if it fails to secure the border is ... ANOTHER GOVERNMENT COMMISSION WILL BE CREATED! Take that, Homeland Security! Ha -- we have you now!

It's hard to trust Ann anymore since she left the conservative camp a couple of years ago, but in this matter she is entirely right.
Good for her, but it would go a long way in my eyes if she apologized for some of her nonsensical trashing of her conservative common sense in the past couple of years.

If Chris “Doublewide” Christie is so great, why does he love Obama and Islam, Ann? If Mitt Romney is so great, how did he lose to the worst president in US history?

" By "paying taxes," Rubio means"filing a tax return and getting a payment back from the government in the form of the earned income tax credit."
Another term for what Rubio calls "paying taxes" is "receiving welfare" --which newly legalized illegals will start receiving right away under Rubio's plan.
The only tax they'll pay is the same tax they pay now: sales tax.
But, incomprehensibly, Rubio swore up and down that the newly legalized illegal immigrants won't get government benefits:"And then they don't qualify for any federal benefits.
This is an important point.
No federal benefits, no food stamps, no welfare, no Obamacare."
How on Earth does Rubio plan to enforce this "important point"?
Just three weeks ago, the U.S. Senate voted down a proposal to prevent illegal immigrants from receiving benefits under Obamacare.
At the time, Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez sneered at Republicans opposing Obamacare for illegals, saying,"This is not a great way to try to do your outreach to the Hispanic and immigrant community."
Forcing Republicans to spend the next two decades arguingthat poor Hispanic children shouldn't have access to government benefits like health care and food programs
sounds like a terrific way to win over the Hispanic vote!
Is it going to be easier or harderfor Republicans to deny welfare to 20 million newly legalized illegal aliens
than it is for them to simply saythat people who have broken our laws should not be on a fast-track to citizenship?
Also, is Rubio planning to stop his newly legalized illegal aliens from having children?
The children of illegal aliens become automatic citizens under our current insane interpretation of the 14th Amendment.
(It seems that, after the Civil War, what the framers of the 14th Amendment had at the top of their agendawas not invalidating the Dred Scott decision and confirming the citizenship of former slaves,
but ensuring that, a century hence, the children of any foreigners who manage to sneak into the country illegally and give birthwould become full-fledged U.S. citizens.)
As I've noted before, Hispanic women have a higher illegitimate birthrate than any other ethnic group in the country, including blacks.
Currently, 71 percent of illegal immigrant households with children collect federal benefits.
In California -- which will be America if Rubio's plan goes through -- 82 percent of households headed by an illegal immigrant are on welfare,
as are 61 percent of households headed by legal immigrants, according to the March 2011 Current Population Survey by the Center for Immigration Studies.
If you think Republicans are Hispandering now, wait until the children of 20 million illegal aliens start to vote.
Rubio's amnesty isn't just bad for America, it's the end of America. "
And people are trying to tell me that Marco Rubio is a
"Conservative" ? BULL !

So, if the feckless mess known as DHS can’t get the border secured, we’ll form a commission, who will fail as well.
Stop with the games, Rubio... your intention all along has been to give full citizenship and voting rights to these invaders.

Rubio is popular with Cuban Hispanics but not accepted by Mexicans. Partly racist due to skin color but in general Mexicans reject Cubans and Venezuelans. The clueless RNC doesn’t get this.

Not only is she right, but she’s saying what very few supposedly conservative pundits or pols (where’s Sarah Palin been on this issue?) are saying in any way, shape or matter.
To: Rummyfan
Like to see some eruptions from Tootsie or the Cubano Volcano on this part of “amnesty”.
TWO QUESTIONS ON AMNESTY
(1) When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ?
This is a question: Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? This has yet to appear on any US legislator’s questionaire from either chamber....ASK YOUR FEDERAL LEGISLATORS WHY IT HASN’T
(2) What makes it necessary for US to subjugate our sovereignty because of available cheap labor ? While we encourage wholesale abortion as the Godless Demo-Coms socialists encourage population control and abortion Then complain the US is not reproducing enough citizens to replace its aging supply of workers to keep our welfare ponzie schemes supplied with tax money and keep the system working.
Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.
Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.
Americans cant own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash theyll get unceremoniously sent back or wind up in the calabose until some relative comes up with the fresh. Thats just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea lets give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections

The gang of eight is expected to present a complex immigration plan next week. Will the American people support it?
"If they first will make sure the borders are secure then I think American public will be open to hearing what bureaucratic regulatory solutions are, but first and foremost is securing the border," said Palin.
Palin, Brewer talk immigration reform
This week immigrants living in this country illegally will likely find out what they need to do to become U.S. citizens. Lawmakers are days away from announcing details of the most sweeping immigration reform bill this country's seen in a quarter century. "There needs to be truth in this issue. The American public can't keep being told that the border is as secure as ever or more secure than ever when that is not true," said Palin.
Brewer and Palin said they are anxious to see exactly what lawmakers in Washington have come up in regards to immigration reform.
The bill is expected to include details of a guest worker program as well as a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants living in the United States illegally. The proposal will also outline steps the federal government needs to take to secure the border. Both women agreed the border needs to be secured before any talk of amnesty.

Right. When directly asked she defaulted to what McCain was spouting a couple of years ago: “Border security first, then we can talk about next steps”—which is simply slow amnesty.
But with months of the Gang of Eight preparing to ram this through in Obamacare style (force a vote before anyone can actually read, let alone mobilize people against the actual verbiage in it), Gov. Palin’s been silent. Meanwhile, she’s been Tweeting and Facebooking up a storm on other issues that will all be lost causes once 30 million-plus illegals start voting.
I like Palin, but she’s been AWOL on this issue, which is the single greatest current threat to this country and conservatism.
To: Rummyfan
I voted for Rubio.
Fool me once. It won’t happen again.
Hey marco, f-you pal.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Massive voter fraud (again) and 6+ million of the Conservative Base stayed home and didn’t vote.
4yrs of Romney would be 100x better than 4yrs of 0scumbag.
He wasn’t my choice either, but he was “what’s for dinner” on the “2-item menu”, dammit. Look what we’ve got, now.
The past 4yrs were horrible; the next 4 are going to be catastrophic and probably unfixable.
Mark Levin used to say something along the line of, “Get Romney into office; we can deal with him later.”
