By Pete Williams, Kristen Welker and Erin McClam, NBC News Federal agents on Wednesday arrested a suspect in the mailing of letters to President Barack Obama and a U.S. senator that initially tested positive for the poison ricin.
The suspect was identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss., federal officials told NBC News.
Both letters carried an identical closing statement, according to an FBI bulletin obtained by NBC News on Wednesday.
According to the FBI bulletin, both letters, postmarked April 8, 2013 out of Memphis, Tenn., included an identical phrase, "to see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance."
In addition, both letters are signed: "I am KC and I approve this message."

It just seems weird that a guy who would send Ricin to people would be posting about heroes in Boston.

I personally think Winston Groom based Forrest Gump at least partially on Richmond Flowers.
They were both born in Alabama, Richmond in Dothan. They both wore braces on their legs. They both played college football in the SEC. Flowers played for Tennessee and scored the winning touchdown against Alabama.
Of course some huge differences too. Flowers went on to play for the Dallas Cowboys and Forrest went into the army. Richmond’s Father was Attorney General of Alabama. Forrest’s Mother was middle class.
They were both White and were world class runners (hurdler for Flowers) in events which are dominated by Blacks. Flowers was once probably the best hurdler in the country.
He’s a white angry leftist, who admits he’s been in trouble with the law before, with a bent toward conspiracy theories and sees himself as something of a hero.

He used the phrase “This is KC and I approved this message” on his facebook on April 11th, (scroll down) after the letters were mailed but before their content was known.
Does the phrase “I’m KC and I approved this message” have some significance from somewhere? Could it be an inside joke or something? Interestingly, Senator Wicker is mentioned as an aside on his page.

HE’S A DEMOCRAT - active and proud of it. I suspect NBC is going to lose interest in this story now that they know ( and ARE NOT telling)
Nah... Plenty of material for them to run with. White male, Christian, Southerner. And even if they are forced to concede that he is a Democrat, they’ll point out that Blue Dog Dems are really just Republicans anyway... Thus, a White male, Christian, Conservative, Southerner.
