Amber alerts are a completely different situation. The data on child kidnappings is that speed of the essence, kidnapped kids generally wind up dead in just a few hours, the last stat I heard says 90% are dead in 12 hours. Catching criminals AFTER the fact time tends to be on the side of the investigators, bad guys brag, bad guys panic, bad guys get egos and start working on their next crime which draws attention to them, more time means more opportunities. They’re no longer racing a clock to save a life, that ship has sailed, now investigators get to take time to do the job right, gather info, process it, wait for mistakes. And never forget, they might be lying to get the bad guys to screw up.

Beginning with the leaking of pressure cooker FBI pics to the fox news station, I’ve been thinking there are at least 2 warring factions in the fed investigation : the pro-caliphate cabal and the patriotic feds who still believe in US sovereignty. The latter group keeps leaking stuff (the Truth), and Obama’s group is having to deal with the leaks, desperately trying to find a Lily-White for a scapegoat. If this is true, it would explain the apparent chaos that’s going on. Thoughts?

The LEOs are falling all over themselves....Local, state, FBI, and God-knows-what intel agencies...all competing to make the “collar.”

Unless the video isn’t as good as they’re saying. And heroes of the day are good people to talk to, they were near by and alert. And there is that school of bad guys that like to stick around, almost all non-insurance fraud arsonists are in the crowd that gathers to watch fires. Actually Richard Jewell is an excellent example of why they shouldn’t be releasing stuff, he never got charged, I don’t even think he got arrested, it was the media that convicted him.

Very possible. There is a group that wants the investigation to continue at speed and another group that is stalling the investigation.
None of the guys who look complicit are European extraction, one who is a bit lighter could be Iranian; some middle eastern types are paler. Converts are always a possibility.

Was this “rope a dope” strategy also behind Chief Moose’s call for a lineup of white men in white vans in the DC sniper case? They had roadblocks and a manhunt in progress for days. The actual perps were even logged passing through several of the checkpoints.
Yet Mr. Moose held to his misinformation scampaign.
