It would take a clear facial picture of whoever planted the bombs, and then run it through facial recognition software against a repository of facial images that ends up containing a pic of the perp.

Like Facebook. Which has heavily invested in very good facial recognition software.

AP: Suspect Arrested In Boston Marathon Bombings

.......Officials confirm to CBS News that a suspect was identified in the video who appeared to be carrying a black bag with the bomb near the Boston Marathon finish line.

CBS News correspondent Bob Orr reports that surveillance video shows the suspect on the phone when the bombs go off near the finish line. Orr says the man is then seen leaving the area and mingling with the crowd.........
