Fortunately, the Texas Rangers were investigating and know that in Texas a good bet is that there is a financial motive in many cases such as this.

This article has one neat tidbit about Williams: his conviction for stealing the computer monitors was based on a surveilance video showing him doing it. That means it looks like the prosecution wasn’t some witch hunt.

For the record the following link is to the Kaufman County Jail web site detailing the charge info on Eric Williams. He isn't currently charged in the murder but may well be later on. Kim Williams isn't currently in the Jail Records but will be soon, I expect.
