The video shows the blast coming from closer to the buildings.
Would have expected it to displace the mail box.
This appears to be from the second bomb. The first bomb was up the road and was in a black backpack.
The first bomb was close to the buildings, the second was close to the road.
This looks like the second bomb, the first (based on overhead pics yesterday) was on a much wider area of sidewalk and left a scorch mark near the building.
Pinging an expert.
I think PhotoShop might have been used in the "after" picture, but for a legitimate reason ... to blur the body parts and dead persons lying there.
Photo 2 is blurring of body parts. Someone needs to LOSE THEIR JOB, including the head of security for this event.
No. The bomb was behind the barricade. Note how the barricade is wrapped around the mailbox. The blast wave came from behind.
the paper bag look still intact, even through the blur, i didn’t see the mailbox move at all either, Doesn’t seem to be the device location that has been explained based on info that i have heard on radio, etc.
Surveillance video of whoever put this there should be available. I hope.
I think what you are seeing behind the blur is bodies, not the bag.
It has been ‘shopped. They blurred out the maimed bodies of spectators, one of whom may very well have been that poor 8-year old boy. I assume you’d rather not see that.
This looks like the second bomb, at the first one there were flags by the street and barricades.

That is not a picture of the bomb. If you look at the railing next to the mailbox in the first image, next to the blur in the second image, you see the railing is actually wrapped around the mailbox.
The explosion happened behind that barrier, not in front of it. There’s no way anyone who was helping to clear barricades to reach victims could have bent that railing in that manner. It had to have been done by the explosion.
But they are looking at ground zero, just right behind those poor people.
Distressed people, fallen barriers, stains in street. This is the second bomb location, no doubt.
